Taxis

Taxis are available at every terminal and there is a taxi stand where you will be directed to a taxi.

- use only taxis from the taxi dispatch booth (refuse offers for transportation from others)

- tipping is customary for good service (15 - 20%)

Flat Fare from JFK Airport:

The Taxi & Limousine Commission is conducting a Flat Fare program for trips between (to and from) the Manhattan and JFK International Airport.

If passengers request multiple stops, the flat rate of $45.00 will be collected at the first stop in either Manhattan or John F. Kennedy Airport, and the meter will be turned on for the remainder of the trip. The metered fare should be collected at the last stop, from the last passenger.

Should run about $75+tolls+tip.

Hi! I would like to know if there's an extra surcharge for the baggage if I'm taking the cab from JFK to Manhattan or it's just the 45$+tolls+tips. Thank you!

What is the cost for a taxi from JFK to Hyatt Place in Garden City NY?

How much for a taxi from JFK to the Courtyard hotel, Secaucus, NJ? Thank you!

How much will a taxi cost from JFK to Sunnyside New York?

How much would a taxi be from JFK to Queens Blvd & Brooklyn Queens Express Way?

More of a question than a comment - My family and I from the UK are stopping over in JFK for 3 hours before carrying on to Seattle for Christmas. Is it possible to get a cab to drive us around NYC and return us back to the airport? If so what will be ate approximate cost of this?

No way, you will need at least two of your three hour layover to clear customs and connect to your Seattle flight. Besides, travel time to/from JFK to the city is one hour each way.

Thanks for the tip buddy!

How much would be the taxi charges from JFK to Sayreville, NJ. I will be having around 8 pieces of luggage, part of which will come to my car and rest in taxi. Any ballpark would be helpful.

Thanks.

Ballpark would be $120.

Arriving at JFK and catching the shuttle bus, my wife and I will be staying overnight at the Super 8 Motel Jamaica Hotel at 139-01 Jamaica Ave Jamaica, NY 11435. The next day we are catching an ongoing flight from La Guardia. Am I right in assuming the subway is not a good option as we'd have to travel via the centre of NY. Would a taxi be our best option for the 7 mile trip and how much would we expect to pay?

You can take the E subway from Sutphin Blvd (near the hotel) to Roosevelt Ave/Jackson Hts and transfer to the Q33 bus to LaGuardia-main terminal, 15 minutes on the subway and 30 minutes on the bus. Taxi would be fastest, 20-30 minutes and fare around $25.

on the night of sunday august 21st at midight we are arriving in jfk and would like to go to radisson lexington in manhatann, we are 4 adults and 1 four-years-old child....what is the cheapest way to go...how much would it cost? thanks

At that time of night take a taxi, not public transportation. Taxis normally take a maximum of 4 persons but inquire at Ground Transportation. Cost is $45+tolls+tip. Be sure to ONLY take a NYC yellow taxi located outside Ground Transportation, DO NOT accept taxi service from anyone else or you will get ripped off.
