Sorry, didn't mean to step on your toes! At least we both had the correct response.

You didnt step on my toes brother! I think that it is just not right to answer a question that was addressed to someone else. We both have a place here to answer travelers` questions in a professional manner.

Agreed! What can be done about the person who signs on as B2G. and B2G, (with either a period or comma)? Not sure if he's trying to impersonate, imitate or just messing around, but he's giving wrong information which is very unprofessional. Isn't there a moderator who can filter bad information provided?

My understanding is that you are accusing me of signing as B2G. or B2G, which is out of line and you are overstepping your boundaries. I am sure nice site administrators will do their best to block access to people that give out wrong information on this forum board.
JFK_Specialist

No, I did not accuse you of signing in this way or anything else. I just thought you might know if there was a way of filtering wrong information given, that's all. No malice intended, end of this discussion.

Unfortunately I do not know any way of filtering wrong information given on this forum board. I assume that site administrators would be able to do that. Didnt mean to offend you B2G and no malice intended on my part.

Follow the signs to AirTrain and take train on track 2 one stop from T8 to T7.

Dear JFK Specialist,
after arriving to Terminal 8 I had to check out my luggage and re-check them again at Terminal 8 as I continued traveling from Terminal 4. My luggage has not arrived to the final destination, and the baggage service office has no information about them.
My questions:
1) How long does it usually take to send the luggage from terminal 8 to 4?
2) What is the phone number of the luggage re-check desk at terminal 8?
3) Can you help me to find my luggage?

Thanks

You should contact your airlines regarding your lost luggage.

I plan to arrive from Indianapolis to JFK on American Eagle at 7.30pm, and need to catch the AA/BA flight to London at 10.10pm. Is that enough time to clear customs and so on?

You will be arriving at JFK on a domestic flight so you will clear customs on arrival in London, you have plenty of time to connect.

Hi JFK assistants,

I am arriving at JFK-term 8 via AA domestic flight at 11:45am. Departing British Air at 8:40pm (term 7).

1. Because of the 8 plus hour layover, I will be going into manhattan for 3 hours. The limo service said they will pick me up at term 8. Will I have to pick up my bags and recheck them due to switching airlines or will my bags be checked straight through to final destination? Can I just leave the term 8 and have the driver drop me off at term 7? What kind of security checks should I be expecting. Thank you very much for your help.

If your bags are tagged all the way to your final destination then you wont have to recheck your bags. Make sure you ask an agent at your original departure destination. If you get dropped off at terminal 7 you can take an air train on track 1 to terminal 8. While you are in terminal 7 you will clear security prior to your British Airways flight. Yes you can do that.

Hello, we are travelling from miami to helsinki via JFK, the flight from miami arrives to terminal 8 and the flight to helsinki leaves from terminal 8. we have only 50 minutes transfer time, but that should be enough since it is first domestic flight and then an international flight. right?

It is very tight for you. At your first destination make sure bags are tagged all the way through and make sure you have boarding passes ready. You will make that connection if you first flight is on time. The only you have to do is to walk from one gate to another at terminal 8.
