Going on a girls trip to Italy flying JetBlue from Tampa and taking a seperate flight from JFK to Italy on Air Europa. Our flight to JFK arrives six hours early. Does it make sense to store our luggage, head to the city for an early dinner, and then check in for our international flight or just stay at the airport?

I have a 6:00am flight and will be arriving to JFK approx 4:00am I am traveling with 3 small children under 2 1/2 years old. Does anyone know if I will be able to buy milk that early and will there be something to help me bring all my luggage, carseats and kids in my strollers into the airport

My daughter is arriving at 9:30 am from Dulles on Flight 7342 South Africa airlines operated by Jet Blue. She will need to go to Terminal 4 to catch an 11:15 Flight 204, South Africa Airlines. Will her luggage be checked through or does she need to claim her luggage and go through customs? Is customs in Terminal 4? If her luggage is not checked through will she have enough time to make her 11:15 flight?

Since her first flight is domestic she doesnt have to clear Customs or Immigration. Jetblue and South African Airways dont have a luggage agreement so she will have to pick up her luggage at terminal 5 and check it with South African Airways at terminal 4 check in counter. She should be in a good shape as long as her first flight is on time.

Airtran with baggage
I have a similar situation. My son will be arriving on JetBlue at JFK Terminal 5 and has to make his way alone to Terminal 4 to the KLM check-in desk. He will have a heavy duffel bag that he will have to get from Terminal 5 to Terminal 4. My question is whether carts are allowed on the Airtran. If he needs help getting his large bag to Terminal 4, what are his options? Thanks.
