Terminal 4 Facts and Figures
The $1.4 billion T4 opened in May 2001. It is the cornerstone of a $10.3 billion revitalization program currently underway at JFK.
T4 is a model for air terminal technology for the 21st century.
T4 has signed agreements with approximately 50 airlines representing 40 countries, serving U.S. and overseas destinations around the world.
T4 occupies 165 acres, one of the largest properties of any terminal at JFK and is one of the largest air terminals in North America.
T4 was designed with the infrastructure to process between 10 million - 12 million passengers annually.
T4 operates the only facility at JFK's with 24 hour Customs and Border Protection, 365 days per year.
T4 houses the only internal station for AirTrain, JFK's light rail system connecting all JFK terminals, Long Term parking, Car rental and hotel locations, The NYC subway at Howard Beach and the LIRR at Jamaica Station.
T4 is home to 4 religious chapels- Catholic, Protestant, Jewish and Multi-faith, each with a dedicated Chaplain.

I Will be travelling on ek and landing at terminal 4 from India. I need to catch connecting flight to Raleigh from terminal 8 .
1) do i have to go to immigration at terminal 4 and then go terminal 8 ?
2) do i have to collect checked in luggage at terminal 4 and then to terminal 8 ?

how do i go from Terminal 4
how do i go from Terminal 4 ( I am arriving this terminal by Air India) to Terminal 3 to take domestic flight to WAS by Delta airlines and whether the luggage would be transferred by the airline from 4 to 3
You will need to pick up
You will need to pick up your luggage and pass it through Customs and recheck it for second flight with Delta. From T4 take any train on track 2 to T3.

Connection Time between Terminal 8 and 4
I am flying from Boston to JFK Terminal 8 on April 3 on American Airlines. Flight arrives at 7:50pm. I need to make a connection with an El Al flight that leaves from Terminal 4 at 11:50pm. How is the best way to change terminals? Will I have enough time, given the security checks when I check in for the El Al flight?

You have plenty of time for a connection. Do it by an air train on all terminal on track 2 to get from one terminal to the next.

I have 2 separate
I have 2 separate flights.
My flight to Greece leaves from terminal 4 at 7:25 pm.
I am comming to jfk from canada and I can book either a flight that arrives at 12:15pm, or one that arrives at 2:30 pm. Both arrive at terminal 8. I will have luggage to pick up. Should i book the latter one,will i have enough time to clear customs and go to terminal 4? thank you.
