Terminal 4 Facts and Figures
The $1.4 billion T4 opened in May 2001. It is the cornerstone of a $10.3 billion revitalization program currently underway at JFK.
T4 is a model for air terminal technology for the 21st century.
T4 has signed agreements with approximately 50 airlines representing 40 countries, serving U.S. and overseas destinations around the world.
T4 occupies 165 acres, one of the largest properties of any terminal at JFK and is one of the largest air terminals in North America.
T4 was designed with the infrastructure to process between 10 million - 12 million passengers annually.
T4 operates the only facility at JFK's with 24 hour Customs and Border Protection, 365 days per year.
T4 houses the only internal station for AirTrain, JFK's light rail system connecting all JFK terminals, Long Term parking, Car rental and hotel locations, The NYC subway at Howard Beach and the LIRR at Jamaica Station.
T4 is home to 4 religious chapels- Catholic, Protestant, Jewish and Multi-faith, each with a dedicated Chaplain.

Arriving at Terminal 4
I m arriving at Terminal 4. When I exit customs, where do family members typically meet? Can anyone suggest an obvious meeting point that I can rely to my family to wait near until I arrive ( Such as coffee shop, Money exchange etc) Please be specific as possible. Thanks!

I will have to meet my brother who is coming from Paris on a AA flight next friday.
I will be arriving from GRU at the same day by 4:00 pm and I suppose my terminal is the 4. My question is ; what´s the easeast way to go from terminal 4 to terminal 8 ?
take the Air Train - and it
take the Air Train - and it is free.
just make sure you get on the one that just circles the airport. The other train actually leaves the airport and goes to Howard Beach

Distance/time from Terminal 4 to Terminal 7
Am Landing in Terminal 4 and will need to pick up luggage then transport to Terminal 7 for a connecting flight. Can you tell me where the baggage carousel in terminal 7 is and how do I connect to Terminal 7? I have 3hrs time for connecting flight. Is it sufficient?

Hi. Does anybody know if there is US Post Office in the terminal 4 or in anyother terminal at the airport ? Also, Do you know if there are ATM cash machinnes in the terminal?

a post office is located at Building 250 at JFK and there are lots of ATMs around the airport.

I WILL BE ARRIVING AT TERMINAL 4 JFK BUT I HAVE CONNECTIING FLIGHT FROM T3 I.E DELTA AIRLINE. PLEASE TELL ME THE PATH TO WALK FROM T4 TO T3 AFTER I COME OUT OF THE T4 ARRIVAL HALL.WHERE SHOULD I WALK AND WHICH WAY (DIRECTIONS).

Transiting in Terminal 4
I have a 2.5-hour window between flights at JFK, both in Terminal 4. Do I have to clear immigration to transit at the airport, or only if I leave JFK? I have all the right documentation (Canadian citizen), but am worried that there may not be a lot of time if I have to stand in line for entry into the US.
Does anyone know how long the lines usually take? My inbound flight will be from Lima, Peru. Thanks!
