What is the best way to get from JFK Airport to Grand Central Station and how regular is the service?

Once I park my car at the Long Term Parking Facility, how do I get to the AirTrain? Is there a station right at the parking lot or do I need to take a bus shuttle to the AirTrain? I ultimately need to get to terminal 8 (American Airlines). Many thanks for any feedback.

What is the best way to get from New York Penn Station to JFK Airport and how regular is the service?

Could someone can tell me how to get to the Michelangelo hotel in 152 West 51st Street, next to the Radio City Music Hall. What is the best way, shuttle, airtrain and metro. Arriving 1st april. Thank you in advanced 4 your answer.

how far is it from Terminal 4 to terminal 8. We will be arriving late at night on Aer Lingus and need to transfer to American, which will be departing at Terminal 8. Is there some form of transportating seniors to the air train and then from the air train to the next American gate.

Also, will we have to go to the ticket counter to check in when we change to American after arriving on Aer Lingus? I realize we will have to go through customs, but do we have to handle our luggage for the next airline.

Please help. I am travelling drom South Africa. I am arriving on 30 March at terminal 8 at 7:45 and have a separate flight to Miami on American Airlines at 11:15, departing from terminal 4. Will this be enough time for me to make the Miami flight?

how many luggage bags can I take if it's international and how many pounds each... how much will it cost if i have an extra bag thats 50 pounds?

Question : we arrive at JFK from South Africa, then need to get to DC cheaply and with minimal hassle . Please advise how best to do so : train / bus ?
Thanks

Im here on a student visa and i know that i have to stop by the immigration/Customs office before i leave the states so they can take my fingerprints and check me out. ive done this a couple of times before but i always go through O'Hare airport/Chicago. this is the first time i go through JKF can anyone please tell me or show me on the map where the immigration office is.

Thank you

You have to go to NSEERS office located at 011/161 Terminal 4, Baggage Collection Area. Its open 24 hrs.

We have luggage, and therefore have been advised against taking the train. Two sleepy kids with afternoon arrival from Europe.
- would a taxi have room for the 4 of us, or should we take the bus to the hotel?

A taxi should be fine. It costs around $40 to Manhattan + Tips. It is advisable to get a pre-paid cab to your destination.

Nine of us are due to arrive at terminal 7 in a few weeks time for a week long trip to NY .We arrive at approx 7.30 pm on a wednesday. Can any one help with travel arrangements from the airport to 7th Ave. We are considering taking the subway, probably buying a 7 day travel pass. Is this possible / a good idea ?

You can take the shuttle and then the subway. $5 one-way, or $7 one way I think.

it is fairly safe.

it does take a while to get to the City -1.5-2 hours one-way.

it would take nearly the same amount by bus - (?) (there are $15/ one-way buses, I forget the name of the companies, they go to Midtown - Grand Central Station and maybe somewhere else).

If you do not have much luggage, take the AirTrain to Jamaica station and LIRR train from there to Penn Station. Penn Station is located on 7th Ave.

However, if you are nine, it makes sense just to take three cabs. Each cab will cost you about $50, while the train will cost you about $12-13 a person.

Subway, if you have luggage, is not recommended. Will take you about 1.5 hrs, and for non-New Yorkers it is very confusing. It is the cheapest option, but still costs you $7 a person($5 for AirTrain and $2 subway fee).

good luck
