Thanks to the security officer who helped my daughter and her friend get to the Northwest gate for an international flight last night. They had trouble printing boarding passes and he apparently called the gate to get the passes brought to them so that they could get thru security and to the gate on time. This occured at the end of a long day of cancelled flights amd missed connections so the kindness was much appreciated!!! Thank you again

Yeah, there's a sidewalk
Yeah, there's a sidewalk that connects the two terminals, but it's not a short walk. You can take the Airtrain for free between terminals.

Going from terminal 1 to terminal 4
Hi there;
My Olympic Airways flight is supposed to land at JFK (terminal 1) on 2 July 09 (Thursday) at 14:50hrs p.m.
I will then need to move to terminal 4 to get on a Northwest domestic flight departing at 18:15hrs.
Question:
Do I have sufficient time to go thru Immigration & Customs, as I will only have a hand luggage, in order to catch up with my Northwest flight?

i dont think so coz immigration at jfk generally takes 3 hrs and acc to me it'll take more at that time coz of vacations.....

We had the same thing happen at JFK in March! It was probably TSA, we just found out last week! It was a very expensive ring that was stolen from us!! This has to stop its crazy!!!

take the Air Train to
take the Air Train to Jamaica LIRR, take the LIRR to Penn Station and take any Jersey Transit or Amtrak train that stops at Newark Airport. There's a light rail service that runs from the airport station to all terminals.
