me too! I hope that flights won't be too delayed but looking at the weather, Friday morning looks worse than Thursday morning. I'm anticipating a couple hour delay.

Do you anticipate long delays for international flights departing JFK tomorrow (Thursday) evening?

Given the weather forecast ( mixed snow with rain) - yes.

I am meeting my girlfriend at Jfk on 3-4, she is flying from Sweden, and I am coming from Florida. My girlfriend is arriving at Terminal 4, can I go to terminal 4 to meet her? Is there a certain place to go to meet international flyers? Iv'e never been to JFK. thank you for any help!

Terminal 4, Arrivals hall(1 st floor) is the most common place to meet a passenger arriving there.

Hello,

I would like to ask if there are showers and/or sleeping chairs in any of the terminals at JFK. My young son and I will arrive at Terminal 1 and then have to transfer to Terminal 3 (I believe that is right for China Airlines to Delta Airlines). We have a long layover, but are not interested in getting a hotel room. We just need a place to sleep a bit if needed and shower. Also, for getting between the Terminals, what method does JFK use? Are there underground trams/trains? Or what? Can anyone please help us?

Kimmy

T2 in the lounge which is directly connected to T3 has an executive lounge with showers, private rooms and an executive Delta club which can be purchased for daily use. Also ther is no need to go through additional security once in T3 or T2 - they are both Delta.

The regular chairs in the terminal waiting area and the rest rooms will have to do. JFK does have the above-ground AirTrain that runs between terminals, use any train on the outside loop from Terminal 1 to Terminal 2/3, much faster only one stop. The inside loop runs only between terminals in the opposite direction so getting on at Terminal 1 you'll have to make the full loop around the terminals until you reach Terminal 3, five stops. Bring a blanket and a pillow and make the best of it!

Will have a few hours to kill at JFK soon but not enough to go into the city - are there any decent shopping malls nearby?

The closest mall is Green Acres Mall, It is 15 min away from JFK by car. Taxi is one choice from JFK to the mall. The other one is to take Airtrain to Jamaica and then LIRR to Valey Stream. Google "Green Acres Mall" for more info.

Air train to Jmaaica then e subway to forest hills (5 min.) at 71/Continental to R or V to 68th Dr. New Century 21 is open. Bargains GALORE!

We are flying with Jet Blue. We noticed that there is no duty free in our terminal. We have over 2 hours of layover is it possible to go to another terminal to purchase duty free? Also do they permit this?

You won't be able to bring bottles, liquids, gels, etc. back through the security checkpoint if you leave the Jet Blue terminal.
