JFK Airport Parking Information
You can use two different types of parking at JFK airport:
Long-Term JFK Airport Parking
Located at Lefferts Blvd, 4 miles from CTA
AirTrain services link parking with the terminals.
Parking rates
$18 for up to 24 hours
$6 for each 8-hour period over first 24 hours
Daily JFK Airport Parking
Green parking - Terminals 1,2,3
Blue parking - Terminal 4
Yellow parking - Terminals 5 & 6
Orange parking - Terminal 7
Red - Terminals 8 & 9
Parking rates
$3 for the first half hour
$6 for up to 1 hour
$3 for each additional half hour, up to $33 maximum each 24-hour period

people are writing in about multiple different companies here - am I correct that the horror stories are not for the official JFK long term parking, but a different company?

I read them further down, don't know how true they are.
Avistar and AirPark are two private companies that have long term parking lots next to the airport.
They have nothing to do with the official long term parking lot for JFK/managed by Port Authority of New York and New Jersey/.

I was plannin to travel next
I was plannin to travel next week and had read the stories ppl had experianced in jfk long term parking lot which made me had doubts of leaving my vechile there. I was interested in the avistar and airpark, is there a number?

How hard is it to get a car out of long term parking in the snow. Is there assistance for individuals? My husband is flying in soon and does not have snow shovel.
Long Term Parking
We will be travelling for 23 days this April and are looking into long term secure parking at JFK. I have viewed the off site parking locations and they seem reasonable, approx. $250. I have also read on this site the horror stories, damaged cars, theft, credit card scams etc. and am now not so happy with the off site locations. Can anyone help me with this, I don't mind parking in NJ or CT and taking the train but I still need somewhere to park in those areas. I have checked out the Park and Fly options but most only cover up to 2 weeks. Any suggestions?
we rented a car one way and
we rented a car one way and left it at the airport(for ei avis). that way we didn't have to deal w leaving the car at jfk. we were coming from ct and we spent about $75 for one way. (we had family pick us up on our return flight.)
