Hi ,

We are arriving from France to JFK on monday april 12th at 8 p.m ( maybe exiting airport at 9:pm). Husband and wife and two children ( 12 and 3 years old). How can we get to our hotel in Manhattan Hampton Inn madison square 116W31street ? What is the best way for a family with children and two big cases? At what time does the Long island train to Penn Station stops ? Do you recommend taxi ? Thank you much.

Taxi will cost you flat fare of $45+toll($5.50)for the whole taxi.
There is shuttle(look for it at Ground transportation counter or Welcome Center) that goes to any hotel in Manhattan for $18.50 per person.
LIRR is going to Penn Station non stop.
When it comes being comfortable taxi is the best way in your case . It is cheaper compared to shuttle(for 4 people).

The AirTrain system closed down last night and their seemed to be no realistic back up plan. A couple hundred of passengers (including myself) were dumped out at Federal Circle, and after quickly filling two buses, many of us (~100) were left standing in line for nearly an hour waiting for another bus. Adding insult to injury, two or three empty buses left for Jamaica station during that time. With no cab line at Federal Circle, I'm sure there were many, many folks who missed flights. Bottom line: How often does the Airtrain system shut down, and why isn't there a better back-up plan to get passengers to the terminals when it does?

Hi, I'd like to know the cheapest to arrive from JFK T1 to Bronxville, NY.
Thank you very much.

Airtrain + Subway + train is the cheapest way.
Cost - $5+ $2.25+ $8.50($6.50-off peak).
Take Airtrain from any terminal on track 1 to Jamaica Station( be careful - on that track there are two alternating trains going to different routes; check the sign above the doors as the train arrives; the red colored sign is Jamaica one). Take subway E to Lexington Ave stop.
At Lexington Ave stop transfer to subway line 6 going downtown for one stop to Grand Central. There take Metro North train (Harlem Line - Direction: Harlem_Outbound) to Bronxville.

Hi...
I´m landing at JFK Airport on Saturday, April 11th 10:00 pm.
I want to know which is the cheapest/safest/fastest way to go from JFK Airport to Hampton Inn JFK Airport (14410 135th Ave, Jamaica, NY,).
Does anyone know if there´s any shuttle?

Take ANY Airtrain on track 1 to Federal Circle stop. Then take the free Hampton Inn shuttle to the hotel.
At Federel Circle all the hotels(at JFK) have free phones - call them and let them send the shuttle.

There is shuttle(look for it at Ground transportation counter or Welcome Center) that goes to any hotel/hostel in Manhattan for $18.50 per person
Airtrain+Subway is another option. It will cost you $7.25 per person.
