Take Airtrain from any terminal on track 1 to Jamaica Station( be careful - on that track there are two alternating trains going to different routes; check the sign above the doors as the train arrives; the red colored sign is Jamaica one). Take subway E to W4th street stop. It will take around 1.5 hours to get there.

Could you please let me know the fastes/cheapest/best way to get from JFK 7th Terminal to Pod Hotel, in Midtown Manhattan, located en 230 E 51st. St.in a Sunday afternoon in July? Thank you very much in advance.Saioa.

Hi Saioa,
Fastest way:
Yellow cab (from JFK to any point to Manhattan) costs flat rate of $45 + bridge toll($5.50)
Cheapest Way:
Take Airtrain from any terminal on track 1 to Jamaica Station( be careful - on that track there are two alternating trains going to different routes; check the sign above the doors as the train arrives; the red colored sign is Jamaica one). Then take subway line E to Lexington/E53st stop and walk couple of blocks to the hotel. Cost-$7.25(The hotel is located on E51 st between 2nd Ave and 3rd Ave).
Another way:
There is shuttle(look for it at Ground transportation counter or Welcome Center) that goes to any hotel in Manhattan for $18.50 per person.

And I leave it up to you to decide which way is the best one:)

are there luggage carts in the long term parking lot so I can load up my bags and then take the air train to terminal 4?

There are free buses going around the parking lot - flag one down, they will take you to the Airtrain Station. That is where you will find luggage carts.

How long does it take to get from JFK (Delta terminal)to Time Square 42nd street by subway? I will take the "A line" all the way (I believe). Thanks

Around 1hr and 30min. Little bit faster route is Airtrain - Subway E.

Hi - I'm going to JFK from Manhattan (UWS), and would like to take the airtrain. 1.) Do I take the E train from Times Square or the A? To where, Jamaica? And, 2.) How much time should I allow for the entire trip? I understand the airtrain takes about 8 minutes to circle the terminals, but how long does the subway typically take from Times Square to Jamaica? 3.) Are there signs on the Airtrain that tell you which airline is at which terminal? Unless you can tell me - I'm looking for United domestic. 4.) Lastly, what are the hours of Airtrain's operation? Thanks!

1.)From Time Square you can take either A going towards Rockaway and get off at Howard Beach, or E going towards Jamaica and Get off at Sutphin Blvd.
2.) Allow at least 1hr-1hr and 30min.
3.) There is Airline directory at either Howard Beach Airtrain Station platform or Jamaica Airtrain Station platform as well as directories in each Airtrain car(even they are little bit outdated). United domestic is at Terminal 7.
4.) Airtrain operates 24/7.

I was told to take the LIRR from Ronkonkoma to Jamaica Station and then transfer to AirTrain to get to JFK. When I arrive at Jamaica station, how do I locate the AirTrain connection point? Is there a train #? How often does go to airport? Thanks----

There are signs at the LIRR platform - go one level up and follow them. The Airtrain is a minute away walking. Once you are at the Airtrain platform you can take ANY train - they all go to ALL JFK Terminals. Airtrain goes every 5 or 10 min (depends on peak or off-peak period).
