JFK Air jamaica luggage check
I am arriving early in the day to JFK from another flight and my next flight is not until past midnight on Air Jamaica. Can I store my luggage somewhere or even check the in with Air jamaica 12 hours in advance? I tried calling them but busy phones.

Air Jamaica does not have staff 24/7 at the airport. They can take your bags as soon as they start check-in for the flight, which is 3-4 hours prior to departure time.
You can store the bags at T4 baggage storage - it is paid service though.

taxi v shared transport
I arrive with my husband at JFK on 22nd June about lunchtime and need to get to Westin Hotel Times Square. Which is quickest and cheapest wasy to get ther?

Cheapest is by Airtrain/subway ($7.25 per person); take Airtrain from your terminal to Jamaica station, transfer to the E subway to 42nd St./Port Authority which is a block from Times Square, takes a little over one hour. Next cheapest is NYAS bus ($15 per person) from your terminal to Port Authority, takes 45 minutes to one hour depending on traffic. Taxi is $50 + tip and will take about same time as bus, maybe a bit quicker.
Luggage Options with Different Tickets
I am taking a flight with JetBlue to JFK on one ticket and then taking SwissAir from JFK on another ticket. We are arriving around 8am and cannot pick up our ticket for our second flight until 2pm (we are flying as members of a group). We would like to spend the day in NYC and then return to JFK for our second flight but we do not know what to do with our luggage. We have contacted JetBlue and they do not have a partnership with SwissAir where they can transfer our luggage. This means we have to leave the security area to retrieve our luggage and cannot recheck into the security area until 2pm when we have our tickets. My question is, is there any place we would be able to store our luggage as we will not be able to get back into the secured area?

Megabus and Boltbus both
Megabus and Boltbus both stop at or near Penn Station and fares are about $20. From Penn Station you can take the NYAS bus ($15) to your terminal, LIRR to Jamaica ($6+) or E subway ($2.25) to Sutphin Blvd/JFK and Airtrain ($5) to your terminal.

ALL THE HOTELS AROUND THE AIRPORT ARE VERY CLOSE TO IT . NONE OF THEM IS IT AT THE AIRPORT THOUGH.

transferring Luggage from Turkish Air to Delta after customs
I have a ticket from Istanbul to JFK on Turkish Air so Turkish Air will check my luggage to JFK. After clearing customs at Terminal 1, I will catch a Delta flight to Memphis on a separate ticket from Terminal 3. Can I check and transfer the luggage to Delta in Terminal 1 or do I need to carry it to Terminal 3 to Delta and check it there? nmr

Check with Turkish if the can do that(I doubt it though).
If not, then take it to T2(it is closer and it is also Delta).

Hello Thang,
There are no direct flights from JFK to MYR.
You can get a connecting flight from JFK-ATL-MYR on Delta. Delta has three daily flights from ATL to MYR.
Or Jet Blue to CLT and then US Airways or United to MYR.
You can also use the direct Delta service LGA-MYR which is twice daily.
Buy your ticket in advance on line - it will save you the hassle to look for it in the last minute and pay high price for it.
One advice - if you choose to fly Delta , put all your flights in the same itinerary(very important, including the international leg) - it will save you $$ since Delta charges for checking bags for domestic passengers(having international part in your itinerary will "make" you international passenger).
