3 hours between those two airports is very limited time. You have no other choice but to take a taxi. Besides , the shuttle will cost you more than a taxi when it comes to party of 4.($30/pax - shuttle; ~$100 for a taxi).

Terminal 4 to Terminal 5
Hi, I will be arriving in JFK on 20th June at 07:45AM at Terminal 4 by EK203 from Dubai. I will be taking a JetBlue flight from Terminal 5 at 01:44PM the same day to Orlando, Florida. How can I go to Terminal 5 from Terminal 4? Please provide the details with approximate time requirement. Thank you.

Go to the third floor of T4 and take Airtrain on track 1 for one stop. It takes only a minute to the next station - T5.

Arriving at JFK at 11pm at night!
Hi, I will be arriving at 10:40pm on 1st Sept with my mam to JFK (no idea what terminal) from London on British Airways. It's our first time going to New York and we're staying in Fitzgerald's Grand Central on east 44th street (Lexington). We're really nervous about the getting to the hotel as we have absolutely no idea where to go! I was looking at advice but it's quite confusing and I would really like to try to avoid the undergound on our first night! Please can someone advise me on the best way to travel between the airport and east 44th street? Thanks!

You will be arriving at Terminal 7 . In your case you have two options:
1. Taxi(~40minutes)
Yellow cab (from JFK to any point to Manhattan
) costs flat rate of $45 + bridge toll($5.50). The price is for the whole taxi, not per passenger.
2. Shuttle(~1hr-1:30hrs)
There is shuttle(look for it at Ground transportation
counter or Welcome Center) that goes to any address in Manhattan for $18.50-$25 per passenger.

connecting flight.
Myself and my family are flying to JFK from seattle with American airlines, coming into terminal 8. We are connecting with Aer Lingus at Terminal 4 ( i think) on our way to Dublin.
we have only 1 hour 15 minutes between getting into JFK T8 and getting to T4.
Does anyone know if we can make it or will we definitely need more time ??

You should be fine. Just make sure AA checks your bags all the way through and you get your boarding passes for Aer Lingus from AA in Seatle. And hope AA is not late.

change terminals 1 to 7
I arrive to the terminal 1 by aeromexico and than I need to go to the teminal 7 (British Airways). My questions are:
1- after passing through a custom in T1, is there a possibility to deposit my luggage there in T1 for passing it automatically to my next fight to T7?
2- if not, is it possible to go to the T7 by Airtrain with the luggage?
3- in the T7, is there a possibility to check in my baggage at 1 A.M. if my flight is at 8 A.M.? or I will wait up to 5:30 A.M. when the check-in for my flight starts?
4- may I wait for my flight during the night hours (from 1 a.m. to 5-6 a.m.) in the T7?

1. Check with Aero Mexico for that - it all depends on if both airlines have baggage transfer agreement.

3. They are closed at those hours
4. T7 closes during the night. You can spend the night at T4 which is open 24 hours. Head for T7 at 5 am.

excess baggage fee
My daughter is flying home to australia in July. She has spent up big(good for your economy) but lm afraid what it will cost her in excess baggage. Is there an internet site l could go to to confirm the prices so she has enough money on her to cover the cost?? Any help would be appreciated

Transfer from JFK to EWR
I am arriving at JFK on a weekday in August at 0830 in the morning. I want to catch a flight from EWR at around mid day. I will be travelling with my young son and two suitcases, what would you recommend be a convinient and yet not very expensive mode of transfer between the two airports? I understand a taxi costs around 100$ which is bit above my budget.

Changing flights in JFK
I am planing to purchase tickets for flight to Moscow from JFK. I will be flying JetBlue from Boston first. Is 2 hours enough time to change from JetBlue to Aeroflot light?
