We're supposed to be travelling out of JFK international terminal on Sunday. We were planning on checking in 3 hours before our flight to Australia. Will that be enough time to clear security?

3 hours will give you plenty of time for security but be prepared-- most flights out of JFK are delayed or canceled due to high winds today (Sat) and tomorrow (Sun)
Have a good book to read and be prepared to wait and wait and wait...

I'll be flying from France to Miami in 10 days and I have 10 hours in JFK airport before the next flight.
Will I be authorized to leave the airport for a while (to spend a few hours in Manhattan) or is it forbidden?

The time requested for immigration in JFK + security and check in to MIA does not allow a Mnahattan tour
Also your final destination beeing Miami,that will be your entry gate for custom and immigration

We just flew through JFK and had 4 hours and it took all of the time to get our bags (1hour) off plane, checked through customes, and scanned by security.
Give yourself plenty of time for security.
You should be fine to leave
You should be fine to leave JFK. You will do immigration in JFK, so that should clear you to leave the airport if you wish.
Cost effective way to get from JFK to Newark hotel
Looking for a cheap option to travel from JFK to Hilton Newark airport. Traveling with 5 bags (2 people), so subway is not a good option for us.
JFK to Hilton Newark
I believe that there is a bus that will take you directly to Newark Airport form JFK. From there you should be able to take the Hilton Airport Shuttle.
Security Question
My family is on holiday in New York and will fly back to Viennathe 1st of January. As due to this terrorist attack on Delta Airlines there are announced special security checks I want to know how many hours before fligt they appear at the airport latest (they will fly with Austrian Airlines to Vienna)
