ICAO code - KJFK

Operated by - The airport has been operated by the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey under a lease with New York City since 1947.

The airport was formally dedicated as New York International Airport on July 31, 1948. It was re-dedicated on December 24, 1963 as John F. Kennedy International Airport, following action of the Mayor and Council of the City of New York, and a resolution of the Commissioners of the Port Authority. After the September 11, 2001 attacks, JFK was one of the first airports in the United States to be temporarily closed.

can I fly with an expired id?

Does anybody know if there are chair massages at JFK airport?

I will be flying Alitalia from Rome and taking a connecting flight on Delta at JFK for Cleveland. Will I have to retrieve my bagage at JFK and go through customs and check my bagage in again for my Delta flight to Cleveland? Or will my bagage go all the way through to Cleveland and pass customs there?

Yes! You will have to clear the customs in JFK and put again to CLE. Enjoy doing!

I will be arriving at JFK very early in the morning (6:15) on the 23)on an international flight, my next flight is at 3 Pm. I am traveling with 3 kids one of which is a 2 month old baby. I am wondering if there are any private rooms to spend the day, maybe shower, watch TV. Or what else you can recommend in the airport that we can do with the kids.
Thank you.

I have four hours to: spare while waiting to board my next flight...is there anything that i can do while wating...like sight see ect..just don't want to sit in the airport for four hours.

It is always with a sinking feeling of displeasure that I approach the security lines at JFK Airport. I am an environmentalist and am wondering why we do not recycle all the plastic, glass and aluminum containers confiscated from passengers at the security line?

I have contacted the TSA – they told me to contact The General Services Administration who “rules governing the storage and disposal of items in TSA's control.”

The GSA referred me to the Port Authority of NY and NJ (PANY&NJ) who, (sigh) in turn, said I should contact each airport in the nation individually to try and convince them that recycling is a NECESSITY, especially in a case like this where such a HIGH VOLUME of containers are collected.

Can you please forward my comments to your airport manager?

I am writing letters to the Governors of NY and NJ and will tell them I have contacted you and the other airports under the PANY&NJ’s control. The issue here is NOT the “disposal of hazardous materials” – I understand that those materials warrant special consideration. These are the bottles thrown away by passengers who are ordered to do at Security Checkpoints – things like water, shampoo, perfume, toiletries, etc. These items are the very same things people recycle from their homes and offices everyday.

They should be recycled by each individual airport in order to help save the earth. I thank you in advance for your consideration.

I live in Rome and in the airport when I bougth the thicket they told me that when I'm in NY I'll have to call the Aeromexico in JFK airport "to book" a stand by but I can't find this number here on the aeromexico website. Could someone help me please?

Hello there

I will be arriving at JFK on Thursday night about 11:00pm.

What trains do I need to take to get to Grand Central Station in Manhattan?

Or is it easier to take a taxi - ie the trains only run every 30 minutes maybe at that time of day?

Good morning,
I would like to know if there is a smoking area in JFK airport.
Thanks
Jessica babin

Pls Quit Smoking:)
