Me and my familiy need transportation from JFK to Hampton Inn MGS.. We have looked at the shuttle cars, but we find it very expensive..
Does anybody know how to get to our hotel from JFK with train and how much it costs? We are 4 people - 2 adults and 2 children both aged 17.

Take AirTrain from terminal
Take AirTrain from terminal to Jamaica Station and transfer to LIRR to Penn Station. Exit to 7th Ave and walk south to 31st St, turn left to hotel. Cost per person is approx. $13 via LIRR or $7.25 via subway (at Jamaica take the E subway instead of LIRR to 34th St/Penn Station, but LIRR is faster and more comfortable).

There's no regular service
There's no regular service to that location, inquire at Ground Transportation for shared-ride shuttle service and rates. You could also get there by train; take AirTrain from terminal to Jamaica Station, transfer to either LIRR or E subway to Penn Station, transfer to NJ Transit-NE Corridor train to New Brunswick.

The NY Airporter bus leaves from the Ground Transportation area at each terminal to Penn Station every 30 minutes.

I noticed that Supershuttle does not service Brooklyn. Are there any shuttle companies that go from JFK to Brooklyn?

Inquire at Ground Transportation. I am unaware that SuperShuttle does not go to Brooklyn. Depending on where in Brooklyn you are going a taxi will cost $35-$50, and multiple subway lines will get you to most sections of the borough.

Taxi is easiest $45+tolls+tip. Cheapest is by subway; take AirTrain from terminal to Jamaica Station, transfer to inbound E subway to Lexington/53rd St, transfer to the downtown #6 subway one stop to Grand Central/42nd St, total fare is $7.25.
