Hello,
I have two non-english speaking guests arriving to JFK terminal 8 via Swiss Air on August 19. They are very nervous to be able to find there way through the airport to connecting flight at terminal 8. Is there a person who might be able to meet them upon arrival at the gate? I know that you are very busyalso, and so if this is not possible to do, can you direct me to a service for a fee that might also be available from a private service at the airport?

Thank you,
David D. Belanich

Looks like "go to 1st floor and meet by international arrivals exit" is the best advice."

Is this the best advice?

hi...my friend is coming in jet airways to jfk on aug 13 and he will land at 12:15 pm to terminal 8...Iam also coming on aug 13 to jfk in Emirates and i will be landing at 1:30 pm at terminal 4..now can u tell us how can he meet me at terminal 4 after he completes his immigration so that he can wait for me at terminal 4...

Let him take Airtrain on track 2 to Terminal 4. There, he will go to the 1st floor and meet you by international arrivals exit.

MY elderly parents have a flight from JFK to Dubai via Emirates. Is there curbside checking? Is there assistance for elderly people so they dont have to take the luggage all the way to the counter?

There is no curbside check-in for Emirates. You can order(at Emirates counter at T4) a wheelchair assistance.

I will arrive at JFK at 3.30 in the afternoon of 5th August from DFW by US airways (Probably at Terminal 7) and want to go Terminal 4 to see my sister off by Pakistan International which will leave at 8 pm on 5th August. My return flight is at 6.30 the same US airways probaly from terminal 7. My question is how much time will it takes to reach Terminal 4 at Pakistan International counter and what is most time way to reach. Will i be able to come back to get flight at terminal 7 during this time.
Plesae help.

After you arrive at T7 make sure you will get your boarding pass for the flight back - this way you will not waste time coming back.
You will be able to do that - take Airtrain on track 2 from T7. It takes only two stops(~3min) to get to T4. On your way back make sure you are 1 hour prior to departure time at T7(assuming no bags to check in and in possession of boarding pass).
PIA counter at T4 is located on the forth floor.

Elderly parents are traveling from India (AI 101) and will arrive to JFK 6am 29 July, my father had surgery recently can not walk need assistance. I have booked tickets for wheel chair assistance, I could not connect to human attendant on Air India Terminal 4 number listed here (212) 751-6200. How may I get confirmation my parents will get wheel chair assistance and language (communication) help during luggage pick and immigration etc. Is there any number I can contact in terminal 4 for help? Thanks,

I will be flying from London to JFK on Virgin Atlantic. My connecting flight is at 4am on TACA.

Based on prior bad experience I really need to know if I will be able to re-check my luggage after immigration/customs or not.

I look forward to a definitive answer, Virgin is not able to provide that.

Thanks!!!

That depends if VA and TACA have baggage transfer agreement.

The problem last time was with Lufthansa, that they would not take any luggage for re-check if the connecting flight departed after midnight.

Is this a general rule or does it depend on the airline?

Thanks for your prior answer.

It depends on the airline - the big ones(or at least the ones with 24 hours presence at JFK) have resources and logistics to transfer even to overnight connections.
