In a good scenario you can be out of customs by 16:20-16:30. The fastest way to LGA is a taxi - with a traffic at that time(Wed afternoon) you will be at LGA at 16:50-17:00. That is way too close...I will advice you to consider the connection.

Hi, I have a flight with british airways arriving at 9pm on friday(chistmas eve). i have a connecting flight with air jamaica at T4 at 1:55am. I have a bag to check in.

1. Will I have enough time?
2. Will I have priority to go through immigration first if I don't have enough time?
3. If my flight delays 1 hr, will I still have enough time?
4. When I the busiest time for immigration/customs at T7?

Thanks very much

1. You have plenty of time to make that connection.
2. You could politely ask for that courtesy.
3. You should be fine with that time slot even with 1 hour delay.
4. Nights are generally not too busy at JFK Airports. Busiest times at the airport are mornings and afternoons.

1. You have plenty of time
2. Generally , the answer of this question is no, but you can ask BA employee nicely if it is possible to jump the line due to immediate connecting flight.
3. You have 3 hours to play with meaning the latest you can get out of T7 customs is midnight.
4. 9pm is not the busiest time at T7, depending on the amount flights getting at the same time in immigration/customs.

Hello,

I will be arriving from HK to T7 at 20:15 and I will have to catch a JetBlue flight to Boston from T5 at 22:50. I have baggages to be checked out, thru immigration, to T5, checkin, go thru security etc.

- enough time?
- best way to get to T5 with bags on cart?

Thanks for your help,
A weary traveler.

You should be fine with that time slot. Use free air train on the third floor of terminal 7. It will get you to terminal 5 in less than 5 minutes.

I will be arriving on an Icelandair flight at 6:05pm on Dec. 22, and trying to reach a US Air flight to Dulles at 7:27pm. I am a US citizen. Will I have enough time?

You should be OK. At that time there is not that much traffic in customs at T7 so 30-40 mins should be enough for that. Good news is that US Air is at the same terminal. If you have any bags you can re-check them either at Icelandair connecting flights counter or at US Air counter on the second floor.
Clearing security should not take you more than 10 mins at that time.

Very tight connection. You will have to go through security and you will have to recheck your bags and go through U.S customs.

You will have time to make the connection - both airlines are sharing the same terminal. After clearing immigration and customs, transfer your bags(if you have any) and go to the second floor to clear security.

Thanks for the assurance! This is the traveler's wife (he's on the flight now), and it's good to know that it should work out. He didn't check any bags, and the flight looks like it will arrive ~10 minutes early, so I'm hoping all will be well.

You are very welcome.

My daughter is due out of Term 7 on Fri evening on BA0182, is it too early to say if that flight will be affected by the current adverse conditions and delays?

On Friday morning google JFK airport arriving and departing flights see your flight number and see whether your flight is canceled. They are predicting snow until this weekend for most of Europe but hopefully luck is on your side.

Way too early. These weather-related decisions by the airlines are sometimes made at the last minute.
