This could be pretty tight
This could be pretty tight as it generally takes 45 minutes to one hour to clear customs, then you have to go back up to the departure level to clear security for your DCA flight. If you miss this flight the next one to DCA is at 9pm.
51 min between flights enough (Term 3 to Term 2)?
Hi,
We are flying from Las Vegas to London with a change of flight at JFK. The layover is 51 min. Is that enough? Flights are with Delta and it's going from Terminal 3 to Terminal 2. The ticket is bookable that way so I guess Delta think it's ok.
T2 and T3 are connected
T2 and T3 are connected behind security so you just need to walk from your arrival gate to your departure gate, no more than five minutes. If your arrival is on time you should make it.
Leaving the Airport at JFK

We'll be flying via JFK on our way back from FT Lauderdale to London Gatwick. We have a 7hr+ stop over, and would love to check out a bit of New York.

an old friend of mine is flying in to jfk for about 2 hours before she flies out again and i was wondering if it were possible for me to go through security to see her, or for her to come out see me and then go back through security?
You cant go through security
You cant go through security if you are not flying out of JFK Airport. Your friend however can go through security and meet you at the terminal arrival hall.

time to make flight in Terminal 8
I am arriving by Amtrak into NYC Penn Station at 8:40pm next Tuesday and have to catch an 11pm flight on American Airlines to London. I know this timing is very tight. I think the fastest way to the airport at that time of the evening will be by taxi -- correct? Once I get dropped off at T8, is there a Priority line for passport check and security clearance? I am a Gold member of the American AAdvantage program and am hoping this will save me a bit of time. Thank you!

Transfer between terminal 8 and 3
Hi there, we will be flying to JFK on an Air Berlin flight from Dusseldorf which will arrive at terminal 8. We will need to go through customs and will have to pick up our luggage. Our connecting flight leaves from terminal 3 to Charlotte. Where do we check in for our CLT flight? And how much time do we need to transfer between these flights? We will arrive at 3.50 PM and our connecting flight leaves at 8.30 PM.

Your time frame is more than enough to make your connection and to relax. You would need about an hour and 30 minutes to go through Customs, Immigration and to recheck your bags for your second flight.If your flight to Charlotte North Carolina is with Delta then you will have to go to terminal 2/3.

terminal 4 - 8 - HELP!
Hi there
Please could somebody give me some advice.
I am flying from cancun to jfk on 13/4 with jetblue and am scheduled to land at 4.15pm. from looking at the jet blue website i believe we will be flying into terminal 4.
i then have a flight from jfk to dusseldorf at 6.35pm which i believe leaves from terminal 8.
i have just noticed that the check-in deadline for air berlin flights from jfk is 90 mins prior to departure. therefore, i need to check in for my flight to dusseldorf by 5.05pm
so this means i will have only 50 mins in between landing in jfk terminal 4 and getting to terminal 8 for the check in deadline.
as i am only in transit will i have to go through the immigration procedures or simply collect my baggage and go to the next flight?
is this possible or do i need to try and amend my flight details?
