Use the NYC MTA website for travel connections from JFK to Manhattan. Briefly, take Airtrain to the Jamacia station, then the E subway or the LIRR. The Airtrain ride is $5 and the subway is $2.25. LIRR is a few bucks more.

Hey,

I have a fairly tight connection. Will arrive at Terminal 7 and depart from Terminal 3 on Saturday.

Which is THE quickest way between terminals? The Airtrain or would I be better off just jumping in a cab?

You can take the J train to Canal St. from the Jamaica subway stop at the end of the AirTrain. Check out the NYC Subway Map on their website for subway lines and station locations.
