After the September 11, 2001 attacks, JFK was one of the first airports in the United States to be temporarily closed.

1)Taxi direct to hotel is $45+tolls+tip.
2)NYAirports bus to Port Authority Bus Terminal ($15), located a few blocks from Times Square.
3)AirTrain on track 1 from terminal to Jamaica Station ($5), transfer to E subway to Port Authority ($2.25).

If I arrive to JFK from Orlando by Delta at 9:44 am and departing from JFK to Kiev by Ausrian airlines can my luggage be registered from Orlando to Kiev, or should I re-check it at JFK? If I should re-check the luggage can I do that 7 hours before the flight NY-Vienna-Kiev? Thank you.

It depends whether two airlines have a luggage agreement. If they do your bags should be clipped all the way.

Hi, I'm flying with Delta From PSA (Italy) to JFK then from JFK to Las Vegas after 4 hours, my flights are:

PISA DL 0137 U 07AUG 1325 UHSX1T 1PC OK

I'm aware that landing in JFK after the immigration check I have to claim my baggage and check-in again before Las Vegas Flight.
What I need to know is:
do I have to go outside and check-in again just as I'm taking a new flight or there's an internal way to get to another check-in desk dedicated to passengers with connection flights? I'm worried 4 hours aren't really enough !

If at check-in your bags are tagged to Las Vegas, when you exit customs take your bags to the connecting flights counter. If not you will need to re-check at the ticket counter on the departures level. Four hours should be plenty of time.

thanks !!!

How far is Newark airport from JFK airport. What is the cheapest way to get from new ark to JFK. Is there bag restrictions on JFK other than the airline that you fly with bag restriction?
