hey i am lena n i will be coming to JFK at the end of this month from GHANA and i wanted to know the procedures that i need to follow to connect from JFK to Atlanta on a DELTA flite.. ..like the terminals i need to go to, and what i am supposed to do... thanx

Hi Lena,
You will be landing at T3. Here is the sequence of the procedures:
- disembark the plane;
- go through US immigration
- find out which belt the bags are coming on. Get the luggage.
- go through US customs.
- after that look for Delta Connecting flights counters. There you will transfer the bags onto your next flight to Atlanta.
- clear security
- take escalator up and find the gate for the flight to Atlanta.

My 14 year old is arriving from DC on United Express into Terminal 7 and departing several hours later on KLM to Amsterdam from Terminal 4E. How does he get to the Airtrain station after he picks up his bag from United (he can't check through because he is meeting a group at Terminal 4 to continue on with them)? Which track is the terminal loop (Track 1?)

Also, please describe how to find the Airtrain station on the return flight into Terminal 4, transferring to Terminal 7. Thanks.

He can take Airtrain across the street from Terminal 7 and upstairs(3rd floor). The only train that will take him to T4 is on track 2.
Airtrain Station at Terminal 4 is located within the building, on the third floor. There ANY train on track 1 will take him to T7(2 stops,2min) or ANY train on track 2(4 stops, 5min).
See the train map for reference:
http://www.panynj.gov/airports/pdf/jfk-airtrain-brochure-english.pdf
There, track 2 is the yellow line, track 1 is the green and red lines.
The trains on track 1 are moving counterclockwise, the trains on track 2 are moving clockwise.

Im flying to south america from england on 15th July and im due to be in JFK for around 12hours. Can I leave the airport and look around new york? do i need to get a 24hour visa? what is there to do in JFK for 12 hours? Thanks

If you are eligible to transit through USA then you will be able to leave the airport and look around. No restrictions in that case.

Hi, I need your help about to know if between terminal 7 and 8, is there a internal conection without to go out of the gates.

Because, we have a younger passenger ( 15 years) travelling alone.

Many Thanks and regards,

Jesús

No, the passenger has to take airtrain between the terminals.

I have a 9 hour layover at JFK from 8pm to 6am. Is there a room or lounge where I can sleep.

Hi,

I am landing in JFK on sep 3 at 12 05 P.M in a Jet Airways flight from India and have to catch an AA flight at 4:58 P.M to Dallas. Is this time sufficient for the change-over? what is the exact procedure for checking out and checking in? Please enlighten me on the baggage issues as well.

Thank You

Arriving from Richmond VA on Delta at 6:25 p.m., departing JFK on Delta 7:30 p.m. to Venice. Is that enough time to make Venice flight? Thanks.

Hi, I am flying in from Zurich and before I run to my meeting, I would like to refresh myself somewhere. Does anyone has an idea where I get a daily use rate to change my clothes and take a shower?

Thanks!!
