JFK International Airport AirTrain

AirTrain JFK is the train service that operates between JFK

i want to know the best way to get to the 23 street by train from jfk airport

East side, west side or "in between" on 23rd St? Take AirTrain on track 1 from terminal to Jamaica Station, transfer to E subway to 23rd St, this station is on the west side at 8th Ave. For east side at Lexington Ave, transfer from the E subway at Lexington/53rd to the downtown #6 subway to 23rd St. For location in between (5th Ave/23rd St) take the AirTrain to Howard Beach Station, transfer to the inbound A subway to 14th St, transfer to the Queens-bound F subway to 23rd St.

Where on 23rd Street? There are five different subway stations on 23rd Street.

Hello!
We arrive from Moscow to Terminal one and have to go to Gershwin Hotel on 7 East 27th Street, Flatiron District. Which is the best way to do it via AirTrain?
Thank you in advance

AirTrain to Jamaica Station; then Manhattan-bound "E" subway train to "Queens Plaza" station. At Queens Plaza, transfer across the platform to a Manhattan-bound "R" train on the local track. (Make sure you board an "R" train; other trains also stop on the local track.) Take the "R" train to 28th Street/Broadway. Your hotel will be a short walk from there.

I am coming in on a Monday night, JFK Jet Blue @ 8:15 PM. By the time I get my bag it will be 8:30 PM or so. Is Airtrain still runiing to Jamaica at that time?

Construction closures/detours don't start until around 9pm. There is a bus bridge from Federal Circle to Jamaica if you arrive later.

Just FYI - there is no construction that will affect Airtrain normal operation until some time in October.

Air train is available 24.7.

My daughter will be arriving from Boston on 3rd September and needs to get to 210 W 55th Street New york. What would be the best route to take , she will have luggage and is from the UK so doesn't know her way around. Would it be best to go to Howard Beach or Jamaica?

Take AirTrain to Jamaica, transfer to the E subway to 7th Ave/53rd St, walk two blocks north on 7th Ave to 55th St and turn left. AirTrain/subway fare is $7.25, taxi from JFK direct is $45+tolls+tip and might be more convenient so she doesn't have to schlep luggage.

I would like to know how long is the commute from JFK to Penn Station on train.

Allow about one hour +/-. The Long Island Rail Road from Jamaica will be a little faster (but more expensive) than the "E" train subway.

hi from rome!
i arrive at terminal 3 on sunday at 15,22 p.m. and my next plane leave at 21.40 from terminal 1.
Can i go to manhattan for a couple of hours?
which is the faster way to go and come back?
thank you!

No, six hours is not enough time. You will need one hour to clear customs, one hour to travel to Manhattan, one hour back and will need to return to JFK two hours before departure for check-in so that only leaves one hour to spare. If you clear customs quickly your bags are checked and you have boarding passes for the next flight you may earn a little more spare time.
