JFK International Airport AirTrain
AirTrain JFK is the train service that operates between JFK
International Airport, Long Island Rail Road trains and New York City Subway.
It also serves as an on-airport service connecting the airline terminals, rental
car facilities, hotel shuttles, and airport parking lots.
Air Train JFK has
3 routes:

The Howard Beach route ends at the Howard Beach-JFK subway station. It stops
at Lefferts Boulevard (connecting transit services - B15 bus) for shuttle buses
to long term parking lots A and B and to airport employee parking.
Connecting transit services: A subway train, Q11 bus
- Jamaica Station route
The Jamaica route ends at Jamaica Station on the Long Island Rail Road (LIRR)
next to the Sutphin Boulevard/Archer Avenue-JFK subway station (to Brooklyn
and Manhattan or Queens).
Connecting transit services: E, J and Z subway
trains, Q6, Q8, Q9, Q20A, Q20B, Q25/Q34, Q30, Q31, Q40, Q43, Q44, Q60 and
Q65 buses
Both routes make a counterclockwise loop through the airport and stop at each
terminal.

4, 5-6, 7 and 8-9). Route operates in the opposite direction, making a clockwise

You will need to take the subway to reach Manhattan. Take a "Howard Beach" AirTrain from your terminal to the last stop. At Howard Beach station, take a Manhattan-bound "A" train to "Fulton Street"; Wall Street is a short walk from there.
There is also a slightly less expensive option: From JFK Terminal 4, you can take a Q-10 or Q-10 Limited bus to Lefferts Boulevard and Liberty Avenue, and board the "A" train to Manhattan from there. This route will likely take a little longer than the AirTrain/subway combination.

Hi, I would like to ask you, if the Airtrain is operating 24 hours? We´ll arrive to JFK at 2:00am on saturaday 17th September and we need to get to penn station about at 6:30am, how is the best way to get there? Thank you for reponse
.
AirTrain is scheduled to
AirTrain is scheduled to resume 24-hour service before the end of August, so yes, you should be able to ride the AirTrain at 2:00 AM in September. Take a Jamaica-bound AirTrain to Jamaica Station. From there, you can take the Long Island Rail Road at 3:08 AM to Penn Station (select the "City Ticket" option at the ticket vending machine to get the discounted $3.75 weekend fare); or you can take a Manhattan-bound "E" subway from Jamaica to Penn Station for $2.25 per person if you purchase a Metrocard, or $2.50/person if you purchase a single-ride ticket. At that hour of the morning, there should be a subway train every 20-25 minutes, but I would recommend taking the Long Island Rail Road instead, if you can catch the 3:08 AM departure.
Air Train reliable?
I need to take the Airtrain this Thursday morning to make a 9:30 am flight. I know the service advisory says service to the Howard Beach stop resumes normal service after 7am. Has this been happening without delay? I don't want to arrive at 8am to find they haven't resumed running to Howard Beach. How quickly to they actually get that service back in order every morning?
Airtrain from JFK to Airtrain
Will we be able to take Airtrain at 10am to Jamica? From the message on the LIRR it looks like it only operates at night???
Special MessageDue to construction, AirTrain JFK will only operate between Jamaica & Federal Circle, Sunday through Thursday, from 9:00 PM to 7:00 AM through Friday, August 19th. Free Shuttle Bus Service will be provided at the Howard Beach, Lefferts Boulevard and Federal Circle AirTrain Stations and at all Airline Terminals. Please expect delays during these times.
At 10:00 AM, you will be
At 10:00 AM, you will be able to take the AirTrain directly from the terminals to Jamaica. If you were traveling between 9:00 PM and 7:00 AM, you would have to take a shuttle bus from the terminals to Federal Circle, and then board the AirTrain at Federal Circle for the ride to Jamaica.
Air Train Timings
Please advise '
I am arriving JFK T8 on AA032 26Aug at 2220hrs.
Would Air Train be functional to drop me at Federal Circle.
Have to reach Days Inn through their Free Shuttle Service.
Thanks
AirTrain service is
AirTrain service is currently suspended from 9:00 PM until 7:00 AM (2100-0700) Sunday-Friday. Port Authority will be operating substitute shuttle-bus service from each terminal to Federal Circle.
The traveler is arriving on
The traveler is arriving on August 26. Normal (24 hours a day) service should have resumed by then. The nighttime suspension is scheduled to end on August 20.
Will I be able to get the
Will I be able to get the AIR train from Platform 4 to Federal Circle on August 10th around 8pm? My hotel shuttle bus leaves from around there. Is there an alternative mode of transportation I can take if it's not running?
I think you mean *Terminal*
I think you mean *Terminal* 4, not *Platform* 4.
AirTrain service is currently suspended from 9:00 PM until 7:00 AM, Sunday-Friday, so you should be able to still catch a train at 8:00 PM. Trains to Federal Circle normally use Track 1, but always check the destination signs -- or ask an attendant -- before boarding.
If, for any reason, AirTrain service is suspended by the time you are ready to take it, the Port Authority will be operating substitute shuttle-bus service from each terminal to Federal Circle.
Airtran to Times Square
I am arriving tomorrow & hoping to take Airtran to get me close to the Marriott Marquis on Times Square - what is the best subway connection?
Thanks!
AirTrain to Jamaica Station;
AirTrain to Jamaica Station; then Manhattan-bound "E" subway to 42nd Street/8th Avenue. Exit to the rear of the subway, and follow signs for the exit at 44th Street/east side of 8th Avenue. Walk one block north to 45th Street, and then 3/4 block east. The entrance to the hotel (through a driveway) will be on your left.
Allow about 35 minutes for the subway ride from Jamaica.
