Hi there,
I will arrive JFK on May 3rd around 6pm and I would like to know you to get with public transportation to 31 West 71st St.,
New York City,NY,10023.
Thanks for your help.

re:to get with public transportation to 31 West 71st St.,
Hi Denise,
Take Airtrain from any terminal on track 1 to Howard Beach Station( be careful - on that track there are two alternating trains going to different routes; check the sign above the doors as the train arrives; the green colored sign is Howard Beach one). Then take subway line A to Columbus Circle stop. Transfer to line B or C going towards uptown and get off at 72nd street stop.(cost-$7.25)

re: FROM THE JFK AIRPORT TO CAMBRIDGE, MARYLAND OR TO WASHINGTON
You need to go to either Penn Station in Manhattan and take from there Amtrak train to Washington DC (or Baltimore,MD and then take a bus to Cambridge ,MD) or go to Port Authority Bus Station in Manhattan and take Greyhound bus to those destinations.

What is the Greyhound bus stop called and how do I get it?
re:What is the Greyhound bus stop called and how do I get it?
It is called Port Authority Bus Terminal; it is located near Times Square in Manhattan.
Here is how you can get there:
1. By public transportation:
Take Airtrain from any terminal on track 1 to Jamaica Station( be careful - on that track there are two alternating trains going to different routes; check the sign above the doors as the train arrives; the red colored sign is Jamaica one). Then take subway line E to 42nd street stop (cost-$7.25).
2. By Taxi:
Yellow cab (from JFK to any point to Manhattan) costs flat rate of $45 + bridge toll($5.50). The price is for the whole taxi, not per passenger.
3. Bus/Shuttle:
There is a bus called NYAS(New York Airport Service)that leaves any terminal every 20 min and goes express to Times Square. It costs $15/passenger.

Thank you.
re:I wold like to to go boston via JFK,
There is no direct ground service to Boston from JFK.
You have to go to either Penn Station in Manhattan and take Amtrak train from there or go to Port Authority Bus Terminal in Manhattan and take bus from there to Boston.
