hello. i am arrive to JFK airport from south america and the rest of my family will be arrive to Newark airport in NJ at the same time. i would like to take an AirTrain i suppose to NY penn station but then from there how would i get to Newark airport?

I'll come from Italy to terminal 3 and I'll leave from terminal 2 to San Francisco after 1 and 1/2 hour.
I'll have the right time to complete immigration and passport controls and arrive on time at the terminal 2? Can I go by walk?

You do have time to do that. Just follow the signs to the gate number - Terminal 2 and 3 are connected behind security.

My brother is arriving at JFK from Puerto Rico @ 8 AM on 5/30/10 with his cat. He wants to get Hartford CT.
Can he bring his cat on the shuttle to pick up a train in NYC? Also, where would he pick up the shuttle?

He has to go to Grand Central Station in Manhattan.
As long as the cat is in the special cat carrier, it won't be a problem. He can pick up the shuttle(NYAS) in front of every terminal.

I am coming into JFK on May 11th 2010 and need to get to Newark Airport? How do I go and what would be the cost? Thanks.

We will arrive at JFK on Delta at T3 on May 11th at 7:11am and leave for Europe at 7:20pm. We would like to know the closest place to store a couple of carry-on luggage and the easiest way to get to Whitehall terminal for a trip to Staten Island and back. If time permits we would like to stop at Times Square and back to JFK by 5:00 pm.

Thanks and best regards,

Rudy

Hi Rudy,
You can store your bags at the baggage storage at T4 - it is 24hrs open.
Here are the ways to get to Whitehall Terminal:
1. By public transportation:
Take Airtrain from any terminal on track 1 to Jamaica Station( be careful - on that track there are two alternating trains going to different routes; check the sign above the doors as the train arrives; the red colored sign is Jamaica one). Then take subway line Z to Broad street stop(cost-$7.25).Walk down couple of blocks until you reach South street;make right and you will see Whitehall terminal.
2. By Taxi:
Yellow cab (from JFK to any point to Manhattan) costs flat rate of $45 + bridge toll($5.50). The price is for the whole taxi, not per passenger.
3. Shuttle:
There is shuttle(look for it at Ground transportation counter or Welcome Center) that goes to any point in Manhattan for $18.50-$25 per person.

On your way back from Times Square you can take Subway line E(direction Jamaica,Queens) and get off at Sutphin Blvd; take Airtrain to JFK Terminals.

Hi,
I'm going to arrive at JFK at 3am. How can I get to the Central Park (Candy Hostel) at this time? Are the subway running? Thanks

Subway is running non stop.
At that time you have two options:
1. By public transportation:
Take Airtrain from any terminal on track 1 to Howard Beach Station( be careful - on that track there are two alternating trains going to different routes; check the sign above the doors as the train arrives; the green colored sign is Howard Beach one). Then take subway line A to Columbus Circle stop, then transfer to line 1 going the same direction; get off 96th street stop (cost-$7.25).Walk one block south on Broadway and turn right on W95th street - the hostel is block and half away (on your left).

2. By Taxi:
Yellow cab (from JFK to any point to Manhattan) costs flat rate of $45 + bridge toll($5.50). The price is for the whole taxi, not per passenger.
