Dual Citizenship
My wife is a Japanese national with a US permanent resident card. I am a US citizen. Our children have both USA and JAPAN passports.
We leave this Sunday for Japan but my one daughter's New US Passport will not arrive until after the flight. Her Japanese Passport is valid.
Japanese PP Name: Japanese First Name + Mother's Maiden Name + My Surname in parenthesis.
USA PP Name: American First Name + Japanese First Name + My Surname.
Name on Ticket: American First Name + My Surname
Will this present a problem in her exiting the US through JFK?
Thank you.
re:Dual Citizenship
They can fly between USA and Japan with their Japan passports only.

Customs Clearance
I flew back from Frankfurt, GER yesterday 7/8 on flight SQ26 landing at JFK at ~10:30 a.m. When we got to Customs, there were only two positions open/manned for US Residents (there were three for Green Card lanes and many more for non-Residents, I could not see/count them all). While waiting in line, one of the two positions that were open for US Residents was closed for awhile (not sure the cause) leaving only a single lane open before reopening. Two positions is insufficient and created extrememly long queues/delays. When I asked the person directing traffic why there were only two lanes open, I was told that everyone was on break which would seem to be a pretty lame excuse(apparently long breaks and apparently the other lanes did not have the same break schedule). While I support improving the experienece for others visiting our country, I believe that we should not make it more painful for US residents to return. As a business owners, if I treated my customers in this manner I would lose business quickly. Please review your staffing levels to ensure that US Residents know that they are valued and that their time is important to you as well.

My mother is a first time
My mother is a first time traveler, visiting mom in UK, wants to carry two cell phones. One planet to use in UK and second one to use in US while she's in transition at JFK. My question is, is she allowed to carry two phones with battery charges?
re:My mother is a first time
Yes.

Penn to Airtrain
I'm arriving via Amtrak to Penn Station. I need to get to JFK. I just want to confirm that I need to take E to Jamaica and then catch the airtrain to JFK? How close is the Amtrak to the E line. I have never been to the station and I don't want to get lost and miss my flight. Kindly,
Susan

It's a short walk from Amtrak to the E subway, just follow the signs to the E (blue circle with white E) and be sure to take the Jamaica-bound E. You can also take LIRR to Jamaica which is also located at Penn Station. If you have luggage it's better than subway as the trains have overhead racks, comfy seats and is faster, again just follow the signs to LIRR. For both subway and LIRR you can purchase your fare and Airtrain fare at a self-service kiosk with cash or credit card.
How much time before the flight should I be on the airport?
Thank for help with previous question. I've got one more: How much time before the flight should I be on the airport? I assume that check-in, passport and baggage control can take at least one hour.
Thx very much once again for Your help.
re:How much time before the flight should I be on the airport?
Be at the airport at least 2-2.5 hours in advance.
