After the September 11, 2001 attacks, JFK was one of the first airports in the United States to be temporarily closed.

Thank you

My brother is flying from Port-au-Prince, Haiti arriving at Terminal 8 and connecting Emirates to Bangkok via Dubai, departing from Terminal 4.

Is there a Emirates check in counter at Terminal 8 and how to get to Terminal 4?

Thank you for your reply. My brother is coming home on a sick leave so I'm pretty anxious.

He has to transfer his bags with AA at T8 over to the next flight. If he needs to get a boarding pass, then he has to get it at T4, Emirates counter.

Does it make sense to accompany traveler into the airport to say good-bye, or should they just be dropped off at terminal?

Hello, I have been issued F1 visa and I am going to attend SUNY at Buffalo this Fall. The signature in my passport is in my native language which is Bengali, whereas I signed the I-20 in English. For when I applied to the university I signed all the documents in English, I thought of signing the I-20 in the same manner. However I am afraid now if it will be a major issue at the airport. It may be mentioned here that it was specified by the university authority that my name should appear on the I-20 as same as it appears on my passport, but nothing was stated about the signature. I asked the International Service department at the university about this issue and I was told that it should not be a problem at the airport. However I would appreciate if I am informed of any problem I might face at the airport due to the aforesaid circumstances. Thank you.

The signature in the passport won't be a problem at all in your case.

I bought a bag at the woodbury outlet and it costed over $500. I want tax refund...so

Not being real familiar with getting around JFK terminals could you help me understand the timing for these changes and if there is enough time to get it done? thank you:

Arrive Terminal 8: AA Flt # 660 @ 6:20 PM

American Citizen with no luggage to claim. Flight coming from St Maarten, NA

Need to get to Terminal 3 (I believe) : DELTA Flt# 2159 Departs 7:35PM for Orlando, FL.

Also need assistance on how to get from Terminal 8 to Terminal 3, Thank you for your help.

The time will be very tight for you - make sure you have the boarding pass issued for the DL flight from AA. Delta will close the gate for MSO flight at 7:20pm.
You will have 20-30 min in immigration/customs at T8, another 15 min to get to T3(use Airtrain on track 2 for that) and another 10-15 min to go through security at T3 and find the gate.
