I will be flying into Terminal 4 on Emirates Airlines and taking a connecting flight on American Airlines to Boston from Terminal 8. My question is: are there any cellphone vendors like Cingular, Sprint, or Verizon at either Terminal 4 or Terminal 8?

Thanks for your help.

Hi everyone,

Can someone travel to CA from JFK without a ticket? I'm a student and there's an academic electronics conference in Santa Barbara this week. I'd love to go but I could not find a sponsor. If I go to the airport and if I don't mind waiting in stand-by line what are my chances of finding a reasonably priced ticket (round trip tickets go between $550-$800 as of now ) to CA? I can't afford more than $300 to go and to come back. Thanks.

maya--

Hi Maya you can get a round trip ticket for about 238 on Delta or Alaskian. Im flying to Nyc from Cali and thats how much I paid and tickets are still available for that price.

You still have to be a ticketed passenger to fly stand-by. Try the discount travel sites like Orbitz, etc. for on-line deals. Good luck.

I had a question if i fly with aeroflot russian airlines and i have to make a connection.will my luggages transfer over by themselves or do i pick up.please need help because i call all day aeroflot's phone number and i wait 2 hours and then it says call later they're busy.

Re:-Reclaim of damaged bag in the United State, 16th July 2010
Dear Sir,
I wish to bring to your notice that when I came to the United States of America with America Line on the 16th of July 2010, my Bag was damaged, and this I made a complain about, and to this effect, I was given a written letter, that should enable me reclaim this damage bag within the next 30days, in any America airlines.
I am in Chile, right now, where I made a claim with the given letter, plus my Original Baggage and luggage claim, The Original ticket Receipts, and the prove that I am the owner of the said bag. The letter DNU/SYFF4Y7D issued to me at the JFK.JFK4JE2 2255 16-JUL-2010 137E4A was also presented.
The Chilean American Airline office refused to accept this letter, and claim. I was made to look like, I am wrong coming to them, They made me understand that if this happened in the United States, America Airline in the States should be responsible for this said replacement.
I feel very unhappy, since I really do not know how to go about this issue, I will be leaving Chile back to Germany on the 20th of august, and then, the 30days reclaim possibilities would then be over, I am sure that when I get to Germany on the 21st of August, and maybe try to do the reclaims, then it would be too late.
I write to ask for help towards this regards, and would be happy, if I read a positive response from you.
I thank you most sincerely for the time spent on my behalf on this issue.
I remain your customer.

Dear JFK_E,

I wanted to ask if you know what kind of screening the TSA has in place in Terminal four for international travel. I've heard that there are new controversial machines that basically take a picture of your naked body and that some agencies have in fact been keeping the images, like recently at a courthouse in some Southern state.

I'm very modest and this worries me. I'm wondering if you could let me know if they use this and if it's obligatory.

Thank you and take care,
Michael

TO MY KNOWLEDGE THERE ARE NO SUCH MACHINES INSTALLED AT T4 . Yet , for best answer you need to contact TSA for more accurate info.
See their website for that:

You will need to contact TSA for screening questions and concerns.

Hi, there i'm Daniel and i'm from Portugal, and here is the succeeding. I am moving from Portugal to the US, for a house of a familiar, and i have worked here in Portugal at the Lisbon airport for a year as a Ground Service Operator, i guess that's the right traslation for it in English!
And what i wanted to ask you is, if it's too hard to get a job at the JFK, or LAX, and what is the procedures that i have to do since i get to one of those airports. I know i can go to the department of human resourses of the airport but that will take to long for me, for them to call me for a vacant job available, i guess?!
So if someone could gave me these informations i'm asking i'll be grateful 'cause i need to find a job as soon as i can or once i has left the plane in there! And by the way can someone gave some more depth info? I wanted to know or ask if someone could make me a list of the companies doing this kind of work at the JFK or some other on the US, and what is the minimum i'll won if i get a job like this?
Sorry about this questions, they are boring, i know, but i'm asking this it's because i wanted to find a job before i go to the country for not to get there and stand looking at the planes leaving and coming, if you know what i mean?!
So thanks everyone for reading and i hope someone could gave me some concrete answer, and sorry for my English, i am still having lessons. :P
Bye, Daniel. ;)

I will arrive at JFK via Swiss International at 2:50 PM and will need to make a connecting flight with Delta departing JFK at 4:40 PM the same day. Will I have enough time to clear customs, get to the Delta terminal, and check in with Delta? Thanks for your help.

yes, hopefully the flight gets to jfk on time.you will have enough time to transfer. You will Have to kind of work fast to the other terminal, and remember to take airtrain for free of charge to the delta terminal

if i fly into jfk on virgin america, what terminal will i arrive at AND if i need to transfer to jetblue, do i pick up my checked bag at the baggage carousel and have to go thru security again at the jetblue terminal AND how do i get there? thanks a lot, jan

You will arrive at Terminal 4. You have to pick up your bags , go on the third floor and take Airtrain on track 1. Get off next stop-T5, go to the terminal and check your bags with Jet Blue. Then clear security again and head for the gate.
