I will be arriving to JKF from Detroit at 11:58 AM (DL6268) and my flight to Brazil is going to be 09:45 PM (DL0121). As I will have a couple of hours I have planned spend sometime walking around the city. So, I would like to know if it is allowed and if I do need to do something specifically. Thank you very much!

Yes, you can do that. No need to do anything specifically.

My daughter just flew into JFK tonight 8-12-2010 from SF, CA. She was scammed by a town car driver she thought was a taxi! He drove her to the middle of nowhere and demanded money and dumped her and her bags at a gas station and took $100.00! I am not happy and am hoping there is a way to monitor this so it doesn't happen to someone elses daughter. She was scarred and he yelled at her and left her. Lucky for her a nice couple was there and helped her.

One way is to report it not only to the police but also to the people at JFK.Make them aware of what is going on.

There are signs all over the airport not to get in unmarked towncars. even though it make take a while, the best and safest bet is to wait in the cab line they have right outside the terminal.

hi, what is with flight DL 0172 form JFK to Miami Int.? Why is canceled?

How can I get to Forked River NJ the best way from JFK? It wouldnt have to be all the way, but what's the "closest" I can get with public transportation? Thanks a lot!

Take the NJ Transit-North Jersey Coast line train from Penn Station to the end at Bay Head (Toms River area). Some trains require a transfer at Long Branch or Newark. Local transportation can get you to Forked River from there. You can either take the NYAS express bus from terminal or Airtrain from terminal to Jamaica Station and either E subway or LIRR to Penn Station.

hello .. i am on visit visa status to usa and am in ny now - my allowed stay period is uptill feb 2011. in the mean time i got visit visa to canada from here and planning to travel to toronto for a week. what r the procedures ??? will the present i 94 form will remain valid or do i have to surrender that and re enter usa again ????

my stay in canada would be a for a week and there upon shall return to ny and depart to my home place from ny.

could u pl clarify ???

and is LAN flight to toronto departing from terminal 4 ?????

Hy ,

my mother will arrive to the JFK and needs to get to New Jersey or Prinston. Is there in way of doing it buy bus, car or whatever without having to go to the Penn Station. A direct transportation JFK - Prinston or JFK- New ( or North ) Brunswik ?
Thank you.

No direct bus or train from JFK to Princeton. All NJ Transit trains depart from Penn Station and NJ Transit buses depart from Port Authority Bus Terminal. She could inquire about the Super Shuttle, a shared-ride shuttle at the Ground Transportation counter when she arrives. There are shuttle buses from terminal and Airtrain/subway or LIRR from Jamaica Station to Penn Station and Port Authority.

We are traveling with an 18 month old arriving Delta on a domestic flight to connect to a Delta Int'l Flight to Cairo.

1) How much time should we expect it to take to get from our domestic flight to our Int'l gate? (we have 3 hours) Are there convenient areas to get dinner before we take off?

2) How much time can we anticipate on our return flight (Cairo to JFK to Mpls) once we arrive JFK, go through customs and get to our next gate. (all on delta).

3) Most importantly, is there some sort of play area for children near our terminals? What do you suggest generally for kids? I want her to burn ALOT of energy and to sleep before our 12 hour flight.

4) Are there trolly-type cars that can zoom us through the airport if we need it?

Thanks a ton for ur input!!! -One semi-concerned Mom. :)

Expect somewhere between 15min to 30 min , given the fact that you don't have to pick up the bags(but check that again with delta in MSP).
On your return flight expect 1hr to 1hr:30 min to transfer.
There is no kids play area at/around JFK.
There are no such cars that can zoom you through the airport - Airtrain is the fastest meaning of transportation between the terminals.

Thanks, MS! Your feedback is appreciated. And, of course, a relief! Too bad on the cars, we have them in MPLS and they are so nice to use!

My son has arrived at JFK on 11august from Bangalore.he has not contacted us till now.he will be joining Cornell for undergraduate studies. Am worried sick, how can I trace him
