Leaving airport
I have a friend who will be arriving at JFK from Japan. She has 3 hours to kill before making a connecting flight to Belize. I would love to see her, even briefly and was wondering if she can leave the airport. She has a visa and all her travel documents are in order. We would probably just grab lunch in the neighborhood and drop her back off at the airport. Will she be allowed to leave the airport? Does she have to go through customs and immigration before she leaves? any info would be helpful.
thanks

Getting around at JFK
The best way to get around JFK is to use the Airtrain. It is a free service between the terminals at JFK and runs every 10 to 15 min.
Hello, I will arrive at
Hello, I will arrive at Terminal 5 by Jetblue from Boston. Then I have to catch an international flight CX to Hong Kong at Terminal 7. Would you show me the way to travel from Terminal 5 to Terminal 7 - which floor should I go after getting off the Jetblue flight to get the Airtran? Is trolley available as I have to carry two checked luggages or any stairs that I have to walk without elevator access? I have 5 hours in between the flights, is it enough? Please kindly advise. Thanks.
You have enough time and you
You have enough time and you can rent a luggage cart to take on Airtrain between terminals. Follow the signs to Airtrain in terminal 5, there are elevators to take you to station level and take any Airtrain on track 1 to terminal 7.

How can I get from Terminal 5 (after domestic flight Jetblue from boston to JFK) to Terminal 7 (for an international flight)? I'm flying into JFK via China airlines from Taipei and connecting flight is 2 hours later- domestic from JFK to Boston on Jetblue. I won't have any bags to check. Will I make it- noting I have to pass through customs etc. Also, China airline is in Terminal 1, Jetblue is in Terminal 5. Do I need to pass customs, get out of the airport, board a shuttle to terminal 5 and check into security again?
