Leaving airport
I have a friend who will be arriving at JFK from Japan. She has 3 hours to kill before making a connecting flight to Belize. I would love to see her, even briefly and was wondering if she can leave the airport. She has a visa and all her travel documents are in order. We would probably just grab lunch in the neighborhood and drop her back off at the airport. Will she be allowed to leave the airport? Does she have to go through customs and immigration before she leaves? any info would be helpful.

She has to clear immigration and customs . After that she can leave the airport.

AIR FLIGHT ON OCT 18,2010
I have a friend that was to fly into JFK airport on Oct 18th 2010 arriving around 11:10 am coming in from Heathrow (London ) on American airlines flight no. BA1514 Seems his Grandmother has not heard a word from him . His name was Stephen Colex would it be possible if you could every tell me if he was on this flight?????????????

I will be arriving at 9am into Terminal 4, then my departing flight to London will be at 6.30pm.
Can you advise on the following things...
1) where is best to store my bags for the day?
2) Can I go into NYC for the day - how can I get there?
3) What could I do in NYC for this amount of time? What is there that I can see?

Terminal 5 - Transfer
I'm traveling from Burlington to Ft Lauderdale with a transfer in JFK on dec 5. I have 40 minutes to make the transfer and my ticket tells me that JFK-Ft Lauderdale flight is in terminal 5, will it be open? How do I knnow in which terminal I am landing?

If both flights are Jet Blue then you will be landing and departing out of T6. Yes, T5 is open. 40 minutes in that case will be enough as long as BTV flight is on time.

Do I have enough time between connecting flights?
I'm flying into JFK from Orlando on Delta, arriving at 9.21pm, and need to catch an Air France flight to Paris leaving at 11.30pm. I bought the flights separately. Will I have enough time to pick up my luggage, change terminals and check in to the AF flight? Thanks, Ben

How Much Time Do I Need?
I will be flying into JFK from Reykjavik, Iceland on a Friday at 6:00pm in mid-January and need to connect to another flight to Chicago. How much time do I need after going through customs, etc? Is 2 hrs. enough? Can Icelandair mover my bags to the other airline (either AA or Delta) or do I need to recheck them? THANKS!

Generally 2 hrs is OK, but the more time you have the better. You have to re-claim your bags upon arrivals at JFK, go through US customs with them and then have Iceland Air transfer them(at connecting flights counter) to the other airline.

I booked the flight to go to
I booked the flight to go to Guayaquil from Zurich, I have 2 stopovers, in NY and Miami. In between I have only 1 hour and 15 mins to transit when I get to JFK airport. I will be flying on American Airlines from Zurich to NY and same on American Airlines from NY to Miami. Would there be any terminal change ? and if there is, is 1h15 toooo short????
