JFK International Airport AirTrain
AirTrain JFK is the train service that operates between JFK
International Airport, Long Island Rail Road trains and New York City Subway.
It also serves as an on-airport service connecting the airline terminals, rental
car facilities, hotel shuttles, and airport parking lots.
Air Train JFK has
3 routes:
- Howard Beach route
The Howard Beach route ends at the Howard Beach-JFK subway station. It stops
at Lefferts Boulevard (connecting transit services - B15 bus) for shuttle buses
to long term parking lots A and B and to airport employee parking.
Connecting transit services: A subway train, Q11 bus
- Jamaica Station route
The Jamaica route ends at Jamaica Station on the Long Island Rail Road (LIRR)
next to the Sutphin Boulevard/Archer Avenue-JFK subway station (to Brooklyn
and Manhattan or Queens).
Connecting transit services: E, J and Z subway
trains, Q6, Q8, Q9, Q20A, Q20B, Q25/Q34, Q30, Q31, Q40, Q43, Q44, Q60 and
Q65 buses
Both routes make a counterclockwise loop through the airport and stop at each
terminal.
- Airline Terminal route
The Airline Terminal route connects 6 terminal stations (Terminal 1, 2-3,
4, 5-6, 7 and 8-9). Route operates in the opposite direction, making a clockwise
loop.
All JFK AirTrain stations are wheelchair accessible. Howard Beach subway and
Jamaica Long Island Railroad stations are wheelchair accessible too.

I am flying into JFK via
I am flying into JFK via Kuwait Airlines arriving at terminal 4. I must then transfer to terminal 1 to take AA to Halifax, Canada. Can I check in my luggage at Terminal 4, AA counter before I take the Air Train to Terminal 1.
2 hours enough to transit from T4 to T8?
I am arriving at JFK T4 on an Emirates flight from Dubai at 1400 and transiting to San Jose (Costa Rica) on an AA flight from T8 at 1600. I'm presuming I'll have to go through customs and collect my bags and re-check in because I still don't know whether Emirates will check in my bags through to San Jose.
Is 2 hours enough time to clear customs, baggage and catch an Air Train (which track?) to ensure I don't miss my flight?

Two hours should be enough time. Take any AirTrain on track 1 from T4 to T8.

What time does the Airtrain stop service
I am coming in on a late flight (arriving after midnight) through Continental. I need to get to the JFK Plaza Hotel please.

I am travelling in AA and it comes in terminal 8. From there I have to go to terminal 4 for Kuwait airways. How do I can move? I have luggage also. Is there any way I can get a cart? Will I be able to take the cart in the train?
Take AirTrain on track 2
Take AirTrain on track 2 from T8 to T4. You can rent a luggage cart and take it on AirTrain between terminals.
RE: JFK to Newark
I'm flying into JFK and need to get to Newark, can anyone tell me the fastest way?
Fastest is probably taxi but
Fastest is probably taxi but travel time will depend on traffic, cost is around $90. If you're going to Newark Airport State Shuttle offers service between airports for around $30, inquire at Ground Transportation. NJ Transit offers train service to both downtown Newark and Newark Airport from Penn Station; take NYAS shuttle bus to Penn Station from terminal or AirTrain from terminal to Jamaica Station and transfer to LIRR to Penn Station. If you time the trains right you could make it to Newark in around 90 minutes from JFK.
Delta terminal to Car rental at JFK airport
How long does it take to collect bags at the Delta terminal. I am arriving from Canada via Pinnacle Dba Delta connexion. (Customs done in Canada)
