You are correct. Aer Lingus arrives and departs from terminal 4 and JetBlue arrives and departs from terminal 5. Both of those airlines dont have a luggage agreement so you will have to pick up your bags at JFK and recheck them again with JetBlue at terminal 5.

Considering flying delta from cle arriving jfk 8:37 am. Jetblue leaving 9:59 am from jfk to sdq. can i make this connection?

Yes, providing your Delta flight from CLE is on time. After arrival take any AirTrain on track 1 to Jet Blue-T5, travel time about two minutes.

I am arriving at terminal 4 with Emirates at 14:15.
Will I be in time to catch the 16:10 domestic flight for Jet Blue in teminal 5?

Yes as long as your Emirates flight is on time. Once you clear Customs and Immigration go to the third floor of terminal 4 take an air on track 2 to terminal 5 with one minute trip. Recheck your bags with JetBlue at terminal 5 and clear security prior to your next flight.Look for a gate number for JetBlue flight on your boarding pass.
