Hi, I'm arriving into JFK at 10.35pm on 3rd June from London and want to know whats the best way to get into Manhattan and then Jersey City? Is there a shuttle bus at this hour? I'm not too sure about the subways and trains as they are meant to be dangerous at night!

Can you please let me know what my best options are and how much they would cost approx? thanks :)

No shuttle bus service from JFK to Manhattan at that hour. You could take a taxi direct to Jersey City (around $65) or taxi to the PATH station at 6th Ave/33rd St ($45+tolls+tip) and take the PATH train ($1.50) to Grove St. or Journal Square, both in Jersey City, however at that late hour direct taxi might be best.

I'm traveling (U.S. citizen) from Brussels Belgium with 3 children (U.S. citizens) and wife (Belgium citizen) to Orlando Florida with point of entry of JFK. We need to go through customs and immigration to finish her immigration status of moving to the U.S. Our layover is 2 hours and 45 minutes. My questions are will that be enough time to complete her immigrations status? U.S. embassy says we should have a layover of 3 - 4 hours to complete process, but 5 tickets have already been purchased and any extra change will cost significant amount of money. Also when immigration interviews her, will they also interview me the petitioner? I really would hate to have 3 kids under the age of 4 waiting such a significant amount of time at customs for the process to be completed. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

It took me less than that when I arrived the first time. About 1 1/2 hours. There's no interview, they just double check your documents and make sure that everything is in order. And you and your kids don't even wait in the same place, so you might be able to go and get an ice cream for a while.

HI
well . the same has happened to me
your wife will face an entry interview and it will take 2-3 hrs if it is first time for her
i landed at 4:oo pm and I reached airport parking lot at 6:30pm
considering the fact that u have 3 kids,.. you can ask them to give u a priority iver others in a que
the interview process itself doesnt take more than 30 mins
it also depends that how many international flight were landed that time

best of luck

Hello, I'm flying on DL31 from Moscow to JFK on Sat. and then from JFK to Las Vegas. In my ticket it's mentioned in both ways- Terminal 3. But in my Delta account I see that I arrive to JFK (gate 09), and leave to Vegas from gate B20. Does it mean that I leave from terminal 4? Or in Terminal 3 there's a gate B20? If it is Terminal 4, how should I get there? And will I have time (I have only 1h50m between the flights)..Thanks!

Gate 9 is T3 and gate 20 is T2 which are both Delta and connected post-security, however you will need to collect your luggage and clear customs first, then take your luggage to the Delta connecting flights counter, and then proceed up to the departure level to clear security to get to gate 20 for your LAS departure. Less than two hours can be tight but I think you'll be ok if your arrival is on-time.

Thank you , B2G - YOU ARE THE BEST!!!!

You should contact Customs and Immigration about interviews and ask them about how long the process may take. JFK customs/immkigration is always busy and the process could take a while which could cause you to miss your connecting flight to Orlando. You may have to make the change to a later flight in order to complete everything.

How can i check on line arrivals?

Hi,

I am planning my trip from London to Fort Lauderdale (FLL) with American Airlines, both flights are with AA. The flight arrives at JFK at 1:40pm. My connecting flight from JFK to Fort Lauderdale leaves at 3:35pm. Would this give me enough time to connect? I understand that both flights would be situated in terminal 8. However my only concern is connecting flights. Would I need to reclaim my baggage or check through security again? Are the gates far apart to make this impossible?

thank you

You will arrive at T8 and proceed to customs where you will claim your baggage. After you exit customs drop your bags at the AA connecting flights counter (your bags should be tagged through to FLL). Proceed back up to the departure level and clear security for your connecting flight. If your arrival from London is on-time and customs isn't too busy you should be fine.

i am coming to JFK airport in July with my 15 and 16 year old children - with different surname to mine although they are my childre. I need to know what the immigration officers at JFK will need to provide to prove i am not adbucting them from the UK and their father. I have tried to get information from the US embassy but the phone number is a premium number and i am constantly on hold - and there is no email enquiry nor is there information on the web site.
