Take AirTrain from terminal to Jamaica Station, transfer to LIRR to Penn Station or E subway to 34th St/Penn Station. LIRR is more comfortable and has overhead luggage racks, Subway is cheaper but will take much longer than LIRR.

Will be arriving from Tampa on Delta flight, arriving approx 2:55 pm. Will connect to China Eastern international flight sked to depart at 4:35 pm. Traveling with small children. Will we have time to navigate terminals, collect boarding pass, and get through security? What AirTrain track should be be looking for to move from terminal 3 to terminal 1? Thanks.

Take AirTrain on track 2 from T3 to T1. More time between flights would give you peace of mind. Any arrival delay from Tampa could be a problem.

I would be arriving at JFK on 26.5.11 around 8.30pm. Could someone advice on how to travel by train from JFK to Sheraton Brooklyn.

Thanking you in anticipation.

Take AirTrain to Jamaica Station, transfer to LIRR to Atlantic Terminal-Brooklyn (last stop), walk north on Flatbush Ave. to Fulton St and turn left to Duffield St, turn right to hotel. OR take AirTrain to Howard Beach Station and take A subway to Hoyt-Schermerhorn, walk north on Hoyt St to Fulton, turn right and then left on Duffield to hotel. Subway is cheaper than LIRR but longer trip.

hi we are arriving into jfk thursday around noon time, could you tell me how we can get into manhatten without using a taxi?
thanks

Take the AirTrain towards Howard Beach Station. Get off there, pay $7.25 ($5 for AirTrain and $2.25 for subway) and take the Manhattan bound "A" subway train. The train runs all the way through Brooklyn but you'll be in Manhattan in about 40 minutes - Fulton St. is the first station in Manhattan.

Coming in T5; leaving T3; how to get to T3? Walking is OK, but only an hour between connections.

Terminal 5 take an air train on track 2 to terminal 3. Your time frame is tight.

Arriving at JFK on Monday at 3:30 pm. want to take train to depot in long island for pick up by a friend. is there train service near residential areas?

You can get detailed information about the Long Island Rail Road (schedules, fares, and a system map) at:

http://www.mta.info

From any JFK terminal, you can ride the AirTrain to Jamaica Station, which is a hub for the Long Island Rail Road. The fare for the AirTrain ride is $5.00, payable upon arrival at Jamaica Station.

I am arriving at 4:45am on Delta on an international flight on Wednesday 6/22. How long would it take to clear customs and immigration, and get out of the airport? (have one or two suitcases). Then, what are the options (costs and time) to go to the Portauthority bus terminal?
Thanks.

Allow at least one hour for customs however it can take less time. There's no bus service to Port Authority until approximately 7am, so your options are taxi ($45+tolls+tip, at least one hour in AM rush hour) or AirTrain on track 1 from terminal to Jamaica Station ($5), transfer to E subway ($2.25) to 42nd St/Port Authority .

I have an Air France/Delta flight from Washington DC (DCA) that arrives at 5:15 in Terminal 2. I am flying to CDG on Air France from Terminal 1 at 6:15. I am concerned about making the connection. Do I have to go through security again at Terminal 1? How do I get between the terminals?

Pretty tight connection, especially if you have any delay arriving from DCA. Take AirTrain on track 2 one stoip to T1. You will need to clear security at T1. Can you take an earlier flight from DCA?
