At check-in ask if the two airlines have a baggage agreement and if so you should be able to take your bags to the connecting flights counter after you exit customs at T1. If not you will need to re-check your bags at AA T8. Take AirTrain on track 2 (terminal route) one stop from T1 to T8.

I am flying in to JFK in August. My friend lives just before Montauk. What train would I take how much would it cost me to do this?

You would take the air train from JFK to Jamaica Station and transfer to the Long island railroad montauk line. Information (pricing) for that train can be found at www.mta.info/lirr/

To whom it may concerned,
I don't how to get to the Hampton Inn JFK from JFK airport by taking shuttle. Can anybody advise me how to do it??? Thanks a million!!

Take any Airtrain on track 1 from terminal to Federal Circle station, all hotel shuttles are located there.

Arriving at JFK from Canada in mid July around 2:00 pm on a Sunday and need to get to the Sheraton Meadowlands in NJ. What is the best way to get there. The hotel is suggesting an $85 cab but that seems a bit much.

Taxi should be a bit cheaper, closer to $70, car service is around $90. Taxi or car service is always best and direct. I think the hotel offers courtesy shuttle service to the Secaucus Jct. train station which would be much cheaper than taxi: take AirTrain from terminal to Jamaica Station ($5), transfer to LIRR train to Penn Station ($3.50 "City Ticket" on weekends!), transfer to just about any NJ Transit train and the next stop is Secaucus Junction ($4), get hotel shuttle from there.

Arriving at terminal 1 need to know how to take the air train that takes me to the free bus shuttle station C federal circle I was told to follow the signs for the free shuttle to the days inn hotel

Take any AirTrain on track 1 to Federal Circle to the hotel shuttles.

Hi I am traveling from Belmar NJ to JFK. I was thinking of taking a train from belmar to Newark. And then traveling from Newark to JFK via AirTrain or shuttle. I would be grateful if anyone could advise me on what to do.

Take the NJ Transit-North Jersey Coast train from Belmar, may need to transfer at either Long Branch or Newark for the train to Penn Station ($15.50), transfer to LIRR to Jamaica ($8.75/$6.25 off peak), at Jamaica walk upstairs to JFK AirTrain to terminals ($5). Travel time is about 2 hours from Belmar to Penn Station, 20-25 minutes from Penn Station to Jamaica and 10-15 minutes from Jamaica to terminals.

From JFK to Empire Hotel (around Central Park) by Air Train and Subway. How to do it?

AirTrain to "Howard Beach" station; then, Manhattan-bound "A" train to Columbus Circle station (59th Street). When you get off the train at Columbus Circle, use the exits near the *front* of the platform. That should put you near Broadway and 60th Street; the hotel will be a short walk from there.

Arriving Wednesday 4:30pm via JetBlue. What should we allow for normal travel time on from gate to AirTrain?

AirTrain/LIRR to Penn Station for AMTRAK connection?

Allow about one hour from the JetBlue gate to the Amtrak departure area at Penn Station via AirTrain and the Long Island Rail Road from Jamaica Station. You can purchase your LIRR ticket and AirTrain fare in a single transaction from the LIRR ticket-vending machines at the Jamaica Station AirTrain terminal. (You will need an "off-peak" ticket on the LIRR from Jamaica to Penn Station at that hour.)
