Hello - I have a employee travelling business arriving at JFK T8 early morning - are there showers available in the lounges that he would be able to use ?

Hi!
We are arriving from BUD to JFK and will leave to LAX. Both planes are operated by AA. We will have as schedule says 1h15 transfer time. What do you think is it too short to get through customs, immigration and check-in?

It is extremely tight. I would allow at least 2 hours between the flights for a safe connection.

Hello
I come from Brazil by the AA, arriving at 6:15 AM. I get a connection to Orlando at 8:00 AM also the AA. :. I wonder:
1) You must grab your bags and do another check in or the company transfers the bag?
2) I have enough time to go through immigration?
3) I know that land at the boarding gate 37 and the flight to Orlando will be at the gate 5. These gates are on the same floor or I will have to close or move to another location?

1. You will clear Customs and then AA will recheck your bags for your second flight.
2. You should be fine especially in the early morning.
3. They are on the same floor.

Hi, not an experienced flyer and my daughter and myself are flying home from Orlando to Heathrow via JFK

1 - I think I arrive at terminal 8 with AA and depart from terminal 8 with AA, do I have to pick up luggage and check in again or will baggage go direct to connecting flight ?

2 - How long does it normally take to clear customs and immigration ?

3 - My flight out to Orlando is from Heathrow via Miami with AA, sorry to be a pain but only have just over 2 hours to connecting flight, is this enough time and will I have to collect luggage or will it go straight to connecting flight ?

1.-Your bags should be clipped all the way to your final destination especially on the same airlines.
2.- No need to clear those since you are leaving the states back to U.K.
3.- You are not a pain; under normal circumstances 2 hours should be enough to make that connection. You are talking about leaving the U.S ( or maybe I misunderstood your question) but if I understand correctly you are leaving the U.S back to U.K so at your original departing destination you will check in your luggage so you should all set to go.

Sorry, in point 3 I am travelling from UK London to Orlando but via Miami, will bags be checked through to Orlando or do I collect in Miami, sorry !!

So here is the deal. You are flying to Orlando from London UK via Miami and here whats going to happen on your way there. You will have to clear both immigration and Customs upon first entry to the U.S which is Miami. In Miami you will recheck your bags for your second flight to Orlando. On your way back to UK no Customs or Immigration involved.

Your luggae will go straight to your connecting flight.

As far as customs, you will do that at LHR, and the time varies greatly. Usually no more than an hour from start to finish.

Hi there,

I would like to know how long it is likely to take to get through security/collect bags etc to the taxis once we land at terminal 8? Our flight is due in at 12.45pm (from manchester UK)and i have a taxi booked from 1.30 to take us to Times Square. They charge if they have to wait for a long period.

Please could someone help? I know with some airports it can be fairly rapid but i have never flown to JFK before.

You will clear Customs and Immigration upon arrival from the UK. The whole process may take you up to one hour so figure out around 145pm.
