Baggage are not to be claimed at New York. You will get the baggage at India. You can directly go to Air India checkin counter and move forward. I think you even do not need immigration clearance as you have already done that at your original port of departure. Where are you going in India, I can help there also as I am Indian

Hi,

Thanks for the reply. Actually in India i dont need help i can manage at airport and my family will be already there at the airport.

Thanks again

Baggage must be claimed at JFK in order to clear customs. Arrivals from Guyana must clear customs at JFK, they are not pre-cleared at the point of departure. Once cleared must check in and re-check bags with the next air carrier. FYI, US Customs only offers pre-clearance for US departures from most major Canadian airports, Bermuda, Bahamas, Aruba, Manchester-UK and Shannon and Dublin-Ireland. All other international arrivals must clear customs at first US point of entry, in this case JFK and includes everyone just transiting through.

thanks B2G , I think you are right. I know I will have to go through IN TRANSIT. My main concern was that 3 hours will be sufficient time or not. help at airport is not a problem at all. that i can manage as i can hire a porter there.

thanks again.

I am flying from JFK and I need to park my car for about three days. How do you get from long-term parking to the terminal and how long does it take?

Thank you

Walk from the parking lot to the Lefferts Blvd AirTrain station and take AirTrain to all terminals, takes about 10-15 minutes. On the return take the Howard Beach-bound AirTrain on track 1.

Here goes,

I am arriving at 17:45 at JFK Terminal 4 on June 22nd.

Question: HOw caN I get to Stuyvesant/Prospect, Trenton, NEW JERSEY using public transportation + cost (train).

Looking forward to hearing from you.

Take AirTrain on track 1 from terminal to Jamaica Station, transfer to LIRR to Penn Station, transfer to either NJ Transit-NE Corridor train or Amtrak (much more expensive) to Trenton. Cost via NJ Transit is around $30, via Amtrak is $60 or more depending on what time your train departs.

I'm arriving domestically on an American Airlines flight into JFK Terminal 8 then need to connect to a Turkish Airlines flight in Terminal 1.
1. What is the best way to travel between Terminal 8 and Terminal 1?
2. Will I need to go through security again upon arrival into Terminal 1?
My connection time is not very long so I'm concerned about making my international flight.
Thank you.

1)take AirTrain on track 2 from T8 to T1.
2)Yes, you will clear security at T1.

How do I get from terminal 3 to terminal 5? Also, how long will it take? Thank you.

I'll fly AA24 sfo-jfk. It is scheduled to land 3.40 at Terminal 8. I'll then continue to hel with AY6 (Finnair). It departs 5.40 also from Terminal 8. Any tips how to get to the Finnair flight on time?

Two hours is plenty of time. You will not have to deal with customs and will not need to change terminals. When you arrive from SFO simply walk to the assigned departure gate for the Finnair flight.

I have a red-eye landing with United in the morning (terminal 7), and an Admirals Club lounge access pass for a shower (in terminal 8). Can I get there without having to exit and re-enter security?

No, you will have to clear security at T8 by showing your club lounge access pass.
