My mother-in-law (age 65) will need to transfer from terminal 3 to terminal 1 for an international flight. She does not speak English. How can we ask for help to send her from terminal 3 to terminal 1? Thanks!

taxi fare from JFK to 39-05 29TH STREET
please can you give me an idea of the taxi fare we can expect to pay (2 people) getting from JFK to 39-05 29TH STREET, Long Island City on the 23 rd Decemeber? Do we have to book a cab or will we find one at the airport? are there any tolls to pay along the way to get to the hotel?

There are taxi stands at each terminal, so you do not need to order a car service in advance, unless you would prefer a car service to a taxi. The taxis all use meters, so the exact fare will depend on how much traffic you encounter on your ride. I would expect the fare to come to $35 +/-, plus tip. (A tip of 15-20% of the metered fare is customary for good service.) The taxi fare is for the trip: you pay the same total amount regardless of the number of passengers. There will be no tolls between JFK and Long Island City.

I am arriving by Emirates- JFK (7.55am) and have to take a connecting flight by Delta to Boston- departure 12.50pm
