AirTrain JFK is the train service that operates between JFK

It also serves as an on-airport service connecting the airline terminals, rental

It takes about 1 minute to travel between the terminals. From terminal 1 take any train on track 2 to terminal 8. Each terminal has an air train.

Airtrain travel
I am meeting a friend who is coming in at Terminal 7 and she has never been to NY. Will I have to pay the $5 fare in both directions for myself just to get her? Also, the flight arrives at 11:08 PM tonight, is the airtrain running from Howard Beach or will we have to take a shuttle? Thanks.
Air Tran travel help
Yikes... thought I could travel. I need to get to Hartford to JFK for a flight to Ireland. Then return again. I'm thinking the cheapest is to take a train to either Grand Central or Penn and then somewhere/somehow pick up this Air Tran? How/where do I do that? Any suggestions are more than appreciated!
The cheapest way would
The cheapest way would probably be Megabus between Hartford and Manhattan, and then the E subway (cheapest) or Long Island Rail Road to either the Q-10 bus (cheapest) or the AirTrain.
Lost Black Laptop

Travel Time
Is 1 hr 30 mins enough time to go from Terminal 5 to Terminal 7? (A)8:52pm - (D)10:25pm
Yes.
Yes.
Hi I have a plane that gets
Hi I have a plane that gets into JFK at 9:20 pm Terminal 1
and I have a connecting flight leaving at 10:55 from Terminal 5, will I make it, how long does it take and what is the best way to get from one terminal to the other ?
Will you have to clear U.S.
Will you have to clear U.S. Customs and Immigration upon your arrival at JFK? Will you have checked baggage to claim? If so, does your inbound airline have an interline baggage agreement with your outbound airline, so that you can re-check the bags at Terminal 1 after you clear Customs? These factors can affect whether you will make your connection.
Getting from Terminal 1 to Terminal 5 should only take about ten minutes: you can take any AirTrain, in either direction.
We are taking the red eye on
We are taking the red eye on Jet Blue and arriving at JFK at 5:25am next Monday morning. What is the best way to get from Terminal 5 to 34th St/Penn Station on a budget? We will have some luggage with us. Also, we will be heading to DC after our visit in NY. What is the best/cheaper way to get from Penn Station area to Washington DC? Cost for both please! Thanks!
How much luggage is "some
How much luggage is "some luggage"?
The cheapest way is to buy a Metrocard at Terminal 5 or Terminal 4, ride the AirTrain for free from T5 to T4, take the Q-10 bus to Lefferts Boulevard/Liberty Avenue, and take the "A" train from there to Penn Station. Total cost with Metrocard: $2.25 per person; without Metrocard: $4.75 per person. More expensive options including taking AirTrain to Jamaica Station, and then the "E" train or Long Island Rail Road to Penn Station.
From Penn Station to Washington, the cheapest options are Bolt Bus or Megabus. Tickets are sold on a "bucket" system: fares start at $1.00. Amtrak will be more comfortable, but more expensive. Amtrak also uses a "bucket" system: from NYP to WAS, fares typically start at $49.00 per person on the Northeast "Regional" trains; more for the Acela Express trains.
TIME FROM JAMAICA TO CONTINENTAL TERMINAL JFK
How long will it take me from Jamaica to Terminal at JFK where Contintal flight leaves. And how often does the Airtrain come?
I am trying to figure out what train to take for a flight
Are you sure that you are on
Are you sure that you are on a Continental flight, as opposed to a "code share" flight operated by another carrier? I do not believe that Continental flies out of JFK.
In any event, the AirTrain ride from Jamaica Station will take about 10-15 minutes to the terminals. (In three minutes, you will not have even arrived at the first stop, which is Federal Circle.) And from Jamaica Station, the AirTrain can depart from either track, as Jamaica is a terminal for AirTrain.
It comes every 5-10 minutes.
It comes every 5-10 minutes. Continental airlines are at terminal 4. From Jamaica Station take an air train on track 1 to terminal 4. 3 minute air train trip.
