I have the same situation coming up very soon. Is it feasible to make this connection in 2.5 hours with checked bags and customs?

If his first flight is international he will need to recheck his bags for his second flight and clear Customs first. Gate 23 is at terminal 2.

Hello, can someone please tell me which track number should I go to when I arrive at T8 and need to make a connect flight at T7? Thanks.

Air train on track 2.

Is a 50 minute layover enough time to take the AirTran from T6 to T9? Will I have to go through security again?

50 minutes should be enough to take an air train. If your other flight departs from different terminal then yes you have to clear security again.

I am flying from Washington Dulles (IAD) to JFK and connecting on a direct flight from JFK to Johannesburg (JNB). The time between the Washington flight landing at Terminal 7 and the Johannesburg flight departing from Terminal 4 is approximately 90 minutes. Both flights are on United.

Will I need to leave the secure area of the airport and re-check in at terminal 7 for the second flight? Will I need to claim my bags and have them re-checked? Or will I be able to take internal transportation (or walk) directly from gate to gate? This would be my best travel option in terms of total travel time duration, so if I can change planes without hassle, this option would be strongly preferred.

Yes you will clear security again at terminal 4. Make sure your bags are tagged all the way to final destination.

The ticketing is done by United for both flights, but the first flight is operated by Expressjet Airlines DBA United Express, and the second flight is operated by South African Airways. Because the ticketing is done by United and they are both Star Alliance carriers, would the bags be able to be tagged all the way through upon my check-in at Washington?

They should.

Hello, I will arrive on a BA flight into Terminal 7 and depart on a AA flight from Terminal 8. I am travelling with a 6 year old and a newborn. Is it walkable? Inside? Is there a shuttle bus? The same questions for travelling to Terminal 5 (JetBlue)
Thank you.

Take any train on track 2 from T7 to T8. It takes about 2 minutes.

I fly from Thailand by Korean Air and will arrive JFK on Wednesday 25th April around 11.35 a.m. I fly with my dog. She is not in the cabin with me while flying so I would like to know when I arrive the JFK, Where I can get her? I got to get through the immigration and the luggage before I get her, right? Thank you very much.

Yes you will pick up your luggage at JFK and yes you have to clear immigration and customs.

Dear JFK Specialist, This summer I will have to transfer to JFK for an afternoon Transaero flight departing from terminal 7 after having arriving about 9 pm the night before at LaGuardia. I will most likely not have a boarding pass for the Transaero flight and will also likely have a piece of checked luggage to roll around. Budget-wise, I am not up to booking a hotel and will have to spend the night on airport seating. I am 74 years young and I like walking.
So here are my three questions.
1 Which airport might be best for spending the night and might you have a particular location to recommend?
2) What might be the most straightforward and not too pricy way to transfer from LaGuardia to JFK if the transfer is at 9:30 pm in the dark of night and would the same way be best at say 9 am. during the light of day? At my senior age, public transportation can sometimes be a bit confusing; however, I will have plenty of time and the price is always right.
3) Would it be correct to assume that after getting or having a boarding pass for terminal 7 and clearing through the terminal 7 security that there then would be no way to get to Terminal 4? My desire to get to Terminal 4 would be to use a free pass that I have to the United Airlines Club Lounge (AKA Red Carpet Lounge)?
4) Would you know what time the check in counters at Transaero open on Wednesday August 1st 2012 for their 14:15 Flight #2222 to Moscow/DME?
Would GREATLY appreciate your help. Ron Wallace
