Hello, I will arrive on a BA flight into Terminal 7 and depart on a AA flight from Terminal 8. I am travelling with a 6 year old and a newborn. Is it walkable? Inside? Is there a shuttle bus? The same questions for travelling to Terminal 5 (JetBlue)
Thank you.

Dear JFK Specialist, This summer I will have to transfer to JFK for an afternoon Transaero flight departing from terminal 7 after having arriving about 9 pm the night before at LaGuardia. I will most likely not have a boarding pass for the Transaero flight and will also likely have a piece of checked luggage to roll around. Budget-wise, I am not up to booking a hotel and will have to spend the night on airport seating. I am 74 years young and I like walking.
So here are my three questions.
1 Which airport might be best for spending the night and might you have a particular location to recommend?
2) What might be the most straightforward and not too pricy way to transfer from LaGuardia to JFK if the transfer is at 9:30 pm in the dark of night and would the same way be best at say 9 am. during the light of day? At my senior age, public transportation can sometimes be a bit confusing; however, I will have plenty of time and the price is always right.
3) Would it be correct to assume that after getting or having a boarding pass for terminal 7 and clearing through the terminal 7 security that there then would be no way to get to Terminal 4? My desire to get to Terminal 4 would be to use a free pass that I have to the United Airlines Club Lounge (AKA Red Carpet Lounge)?
4) Would you know what time the check in counters at Transaero open on Wednesday August 1st 2012 for their 14:15 Flight #2222 to Moscow/DME?
Would GREATLY appreciate your help. Ron Wallace

Hello,
We will fly with AA from Las Vegas to NY and arrive there at 4:10PM terminal 8 and the next flight to Hamilton Bermuda leaves at 5:40pm terminal 8 too. We are 2 adults and 3 small children. Is that enough time to get through all the security etc. and to catch the flight in time?

Thanks!

I'm arriving at Terminal 7 at 12:30 PM and leaving from terminal 5 at 2:59 PM, how long does it take me to get between terminals and what is the best way to do that?

My partner and I are both leaving from JFK on a Friday, could you please help us by answering the following questions...

1. She is departing from Terminal 4 at 14:30hrs

2. My flight leaves from Terminal 8 at 15:00hrs

Question: what time will we have to leave downtown NYC so I can check her in for her international flight and still make my internal flight in a safe time...

I don't want to rush and would like to get her completely checked in, say good bye and get to my terminal in good time....also how would i get to my terminal from hers?

Thanks for your help and time

Hi, I am arriving at T5 around 6am and have a flight to YUL from T8 around 9am. Will I have to leave security and recheck bag? Also, how long will it take to transfer? Thanks!

Hello! Me and my husband arrive at JFK Terminal 1 on Lufthansa from Frankfurt, Germany at 12:55. We need to change aircraft, to US Airways flight to Phoenix at 16.20. (as I have seen, they are on T7). Flights have been booked separately at different companies, so if time is not enough, we will be in big trouble. Is 3 hours enough time to get our luggage and check-in again, also to go through custom and security check, and get from Terminal 1 to Terminal7?

My sister arrives to Jfk on Aeroflot from Moscow at 5 p.m. and then has a connecting flight at 6:45 p.m. to DFW on Delta. will she have enough time and what steps she has to take? P.S. she doesn't speak English and is traveling with a small child, so most detailed info is very appriciated.

I have a two leg trip arriving in terminal 5 and departing from terminal 4 and headed overseas. Will I have to go through security again when transferring between terminal 5 and 4?

I arrive to Terminal 1 and my friend at terminal 4 of JFK at approx. at similiar times. What and where (point of contact) is the best way for us to meet at the airport to leave together toward the Airtrain and the city.
thanks a lot in advance!

I arrive at JFK Terminal 8 on American Airlines from London 15:30. I need to get a Jetblue flight 44 at Terminal 5 leaving at 16:59. Will I have enough time to get through customs and get flight on time? Also, I am elderly - is there assistance for elderly people at airport?

I need to transfer from terminal 8 to terminal 7 and will have luggage. I would prefer to take a taxi rather than the airtrain. Is this possible?

Good afternoon,

I am a South African citizen that traveled to America for two weeks, and upon my return this morning (28 March 2012 - Fligth was on 27 March - 11:15 from Terminal 4 at gate B29 with SA204) I lost my camera at the security checkpoint.

Could you please assist in telling me what the number is that I can call, or person is that I can email to make sure if there is anything I can do to get it back? It really has a lot of sentimental value.

I recieved a number this morning, and I'm also trying the numbers on your site, but with no luck.. Maybe you could assist in the right dialing code from South Africa to America, as well as the business hours in which the lost and found department operates?

Kind Regards,
Nantes Kirsten

i see alert that airtran will not run after 9pm. i need to get t8 to t4 in 1 1/2 hrs. can i walk? what are alternatives to airtran, where is airtran after getting off plane in t8?

Hi My first time at JFK. I am arriving this Thursday at 12.40pm at T3... what is the wait time for a cab? I´ve read that area outside of T3 is very crowded and cramped. Just out of interest, are there terminals at JFK where cab queues are noticeably shorter? As there is a free air train to hop to another terminal, is it worthwhile? Thanks for any insight!
