Nervous about connections
Flying into jfk in July ..family of 5 ..from paris. Will we need to go through customs and security? Arrive at 1:30 pm American airlines...need to get connecting flight to Pittsburgh at 2:50 pm American eagle. Will we have time? Very nervous about this. What is walking distance from aa to ae ? Believe both aa and ae are in terminal 8? Any help would be most appreciated! Thanks : )

You should have enough time as long as your first flight is on time. Yes you will clear Immigration and Customs since you are arriving international. Both flights take place at T8 so yes it is a walking distance of 5 minutes between the gates. No need to clear security again.

my teen is flying alone on comair from jfk to dc. what terminal? how does she get her boarding pass (no chec in bags)? where can i wait with her before she goes thru security and will it be easy for her to get to her gate? thank you so much.

Hello,
To answer some of your questions, there should be several kiosks next to the lines to check luggage. She can use one and pull up the boarding pass by putting in the confirmation code (should be in the email issued when the tickets were purchased) or by scanning the barcode on the printed confirmation email, if she can bring it with her. At most airports, you can wait with her up until they check her ID and boarding pass and she goes through security. Here is a map of the airport:

It'll help you determine which terminal and she can use it to find her gate if she has trouble. Most airports have helpful signs (and people) though. Hope she has a good trip :)

Overnight at JFK
From London I take a British Airways flight that arrives at JFK Terminal 7 at 2235 hrs. My onward flight is by American Airlines departing at 0805 hrs from Terminal 8 (I may not have a boarding card for this flight & will have to check-in for it separately). My question is: Is it possible for me to spend the time between flights at the airport itself? Is it permissible? Safe? Where can I sit?

Our flight AA6025 from Helsinki, lands on June 13 at 3:50PM. We are travelling to Las Vegas from terminal 3 (flight DL1629) at 6:40PM. Is it enough time to get our luggage, pass the customs and check-in our luggage again in terminal 3?

I am picking up my mother in
I am picking up my mother in JFK on Tuesday May 8. She is arriving from HK on CX888. From there, I will join her on AA 3826 to DCA at 1.05 pm same day.
As she is 86 years old and traveling alone, can I request for a special pass to meet her at the gate so that I can accompany her from the time she disembarks from the plane through to immigration and customs?
Also, does she check through her luggate inside the customs inspection area or does she exit with her luggage and then check in at the AA domestic departure counter?
