Thanks a lot, I appreciate your answer!

Hi i have a flight with aeromexico on april and i will arrive at 16:20 in terminal 1 but I will see frinds at 16:25 in the terminal 8 . Is it too far?

Hi Adriana,
Terminal 8 is not far from Terminal 1 but it is not possible to get there for 5 min. Given the fact that you will be arriving international, which means 30-40 minutes inside the customs. Take Airtrain between those terminals on track 2 for one stop.

Greetings, I am leaving from JFK on Wednesday via Mexicana airlines to Cancun. This is my first flight with Mexicana and I am used to the JetBlue curbside check in. Does Mexicana also have curbside check in? Thanks for your help.

Unfortunately Mexicana does not have curb side check-in. You have to do that inside , at Mexicana counter.

Hi,

I would like to know if I need to deal with my luggage if arriving on terminal 8 (from Bermuda) and leaving from the same (to Paris) both American Airlines.
If yes, is it possible to request help (travelling alone with 2 kids)?
Thanks

You can get an answer from AA agents in Bermuda , but most likely you do not have to deal with luggage - you are flying the same airline and Bermuda flights are pre-clearing customs in Bermuda( which means no need to pick up your bags at JFK and clear customs there).

I am arriving with american airlines at 1:40pm from italy and then my connecting flight takes off to Boston at 3:30pm. Which terminal is customs and which terminal will i leave at? Is it the same gate 8 that american and american eagal both leave out of?

American Airlines and American Eagle share the same building(Terminal 8).

If i arrive from italy in terminal 8 and connnect to boston at terminal 8, which terminal is the us customs though?

Customs is located at the same terminal - Terminal 8, on the first floor. You will be arriving on the second floor , going through immigration and customs on the first floor and then back to the second floor where you clear security again and proceed to the gates where your next flight would be.

Hello,
I've the same connection:
As immigrant to USA, I'm arriving JFK from Belgium April 05 at 12:40 with AA and have a connecting flight to Raleigh with American Eagle at 03:50pm.
Should i have to take my luggages during this connection?
Do I have enough time for this transit?
Please, tell me step by step the process I have to complete there.

You should be fine, but if you are coming first time as a green card/work visa holder, then your time spent in immigration will be more than usual. Yet, I think you should be fine with >3hours .
First you go through immigration, then you pick up your bags and go through customs.
Right after you exit customs there is AA connecting flights counter where you can transfer your bags to the next flight.
All you have to do after that is just go upstairs to the third floor and proceed through security checkpoint to the gate.

I'm arriving this Friday, March 19th, at Terminal 1 (Air China flight 981)at 2:30pm and have a flight to Mexico City (Mexicana flight 3) at 6:15pm from Terminal 8.
1. Do I have to claim my baggage & clear customs at Terminal 1, then check in again at Terminal 8?
2. How do I go from Terminal 1 to Terminal 8? Is there a Shuttle? How long would it take?
3. I am bringing a big suitcase, so I am wondering if I have enough time for the transfer between terminals?
Thanks.

Hi Jona,

1. First , once you pass the customs at T1 look for connecting flights counter for Air China. There you might be able to transfer your bags onto your next flight. If you choose, you can also carry your bags to T8 and check them in there.
2. Use Airtrain which is free between terminals. At T1 go to the third floor and follow the signs to the Airtrain platform. Take ANY train on track 2. Get off the next stop and that would be Terminal 8. It will take you no more than couple of minutes.
3. Your time is more than enough for that.
