Hi,

Appreciate your advice on the best options for the airport transfer for the following fight connections :

- Arrive Newark at 1845hrs (on SQ22)
- Depart JFK at 0105hrs (on BW425)
ie, with 6hrs 20min transit time

There'll be 2 pax.

Thanks much.

There is a shuttle between the two airports called State Shuttle. You can reserve it as soon as you arrive at Newark at Ground Transportation counter. The cost is $30 per person. Your time frame is enough to transfer between the airports.

Hii!

I arrive to JFK on thursday at 21.40 pm and I'm wondering how can I get to Broadway Hotel n Hostel on
230 West 101 Street Broadway, in the easiest and best way?

Best regards,

Roroo

Hi Roroo,
Taxi will cost you flat fare of $45+toll($5.50)for the whole taxi.
There is shuttle(look for it at Ground transportation counter or Welcome Center) that goes to any hotel/hostel in Manhattan for $18.50 per person.
Airtrain+Subway is another option. It will cost you $7.25 per person.

Hi,
We are flying in tomorrow coming from Amsterdam with our two boxed bicycles. We would like to take them on a shuttle to Manhattan. The boxes are appr 6 x 4 x 1 feet.
Do you think they would be accepted by a shuttle?
Thanks
Rick
Or is there other available transport available? We would like to have transportation to the hotel of our choosing.
R

Those are pretty big boxes and not many shuttles will accept them. Check with Ground Transportation(Welcome Center) agents - they will be able to help you with all the options that you have.

Hi,
I would like to know a cheap and relatively hassle free way to get to Riverside Dr, Manhattan from JFK terminal 8. Please also consider that its my first time in the US, let alone NYC.

1. Yellow cab will take you there for flat rate of $45+toll($5.50)
2. Share ride services(minivan) at Ground transportation desk(Welcome Center). It is a door to door service, it costs $18.50-$25. Since the destination is uptown prepare for long waiting time at the terminals(~1hr)
3. Airtrain + subway A; Take Airtrain to Howard Beach Station and then subway line A towards Manhattan. "A" runs alongside Riverside Dr. Cost - $7.25.

I am coming to New York First time. But I came to know that I can use following way to my destination (75th Street, East Elmhurst) from JFK International Airport.

1) Take Air train from JFK to Jamaica Station
2) Take Subway Metro Line E to Jackson Height
3) Take Q47 Bus of 30 Avenue, After 74, 75, 77 route, when bus take right, I need to stop.

This was guided by my friend, but can you please let me know how much I need to spend on this ? I suppose one ticket should work for all 3 transporation ?

Looking forward for your help and confirmation.

Mahesh

It is $5 for the Airtrain and $2.25 for the subway. The transfer from subway to Q47 bus will be free if you have your fare on metro card.
You can buy one metro card at Jamaica Station(before you leave Airtrain system) for $7.25.

Hi, Can I pay my trip from a JFK terminal to Manhattan and return with metrocard, I mean can I pay the two $7.25 so as to include the initial ride from JFK to Jamaica Sttn?
Thanks and regards
Ricardo

Thanks for your quick response. I need some clarifications on two options,

From JKF Terminal I can take Air train for $5 to Jamaica and then more $2.25 to Reach Subway and then Bus will be free only when I have fare on Metro Card ? Metro Card can be available to me once I reach Jamaica. So I should buy $2.25 Metro Card or $7.25 one ?

OR

I could purchase a Metro Card from JFK Airport of $7.25, which can take me through Air train, Subway and Bus.

Regards,
Mahesh

Hi Mahesh,
It is very hard (not to say impossible) to buy a metro card at JFK. Buy it at Jamaica station where you pay for the Airtrain as you exit. It does not matter how will you buy it - one for $7.25 or two($5+$2.25).
