Arriving Jetblue, then flying Delta to Budapest with kids and much baggage. What is quickest and most headache free to go between terminals? Thanx

I will recommend you taxi - yellow cab will cost you $10-$15 between the terminals. Otherwise you can use Airtrain which is free between the terminals.

Hi,driving into JFK from Bosotn to cargo area B. I want to park & take the train into the city to walk around before I pick up my puppy. Does the airtrain pick up in that area or should I park by one of the terminals. Also,do I have to switch from train to subway to get to port authority? thx kelly

Park at the long term parking lot - the price is $18/day(compare with terminals at $33/day). Airtrain goes to the long term parking lot(Howard Beach Station and Lefferts Boulevard Station). At Howard Beach Station you can take subway A all the way to 42nd street/Port Authority bus Terminal.

hi there,

I am going to JFK, terminal-8, I have got american airlines flight to catch. I am leaving from 30th Avenue, astoria.

will highly appreciate if you kindly let me know how to get there.

thanks in advance.

Taxi is one of the choices - it will be on the meter.
Public transportation is another choice:
1. Take bus Q102(at 30Ave and 30str) towards Roosevelt Island. Get off at Queens Plaza.
2. Take subway E towards Jamaica and get off at Sutphin Blvd stop.
3. Take Airtrain to JFK Terminals.
The whole trip on public will cost you $7.25.

hi all i will be travelling from jfk - (klm from ams) to manhatten. can you advise how easy the airtrain is and what subway i would get to 304 East 42nd Street, New York, New York, United States 10017

do you know how long and how much

we are a party of 4 with 6 suitcases so think a taxi is out of the question

thanks

Unless you are on very tight budget i will not suggest you to travel on public transportation with 6 suitcases (especially in rush hour).
There are yellow taxis that will accommodate your luggage at the same price - flat $45 + $5.50. Just speak to taxi dispatcher at the taxi stand in front of the terminal.
If you decide to take public, here is the way:
Take Airtrain from any terminal on track 1 to Jamaica Station( be careful - on that track there are two alternating trains going to different routes; check the sign above the doors as the train arrives; the red colored sign is Jamaica one). Then take subway line E to Lexington Ave stop. At Lexington Ave stop transfer to subway line 6 going downtown for one stop to Grand Central. Cost-$7.25/passenger.
Your address is two blocks away walking east on 42nd street(intersection with 2nd Ave).

Hi, My wife arriving at terminal 3 throgh DELTA Airlines on 10th April 6:20pm, and she has to reach terminal 4 for next connecting flight Emirates at 11pm.

is Airtrian will go all around terminals 3,2,1...6,5,4T?? if so how much time it takes to reach to T4

And any shuttle will provide by delta..

Thanks

Raju...

If she takes the train on track 1 then the next stop would be T4(less than a minute). If she takes the train on track 2, then it will go to T1->T8->T7->T5/6->T4. It takes 8 minutes for that loop.
Delta does not provide shuttles.

Thanks! for your help & quick reply.

Could you please let me know the cheapest and best way to get from JFK to Newton Hotel, Manhattan, located 2528 Broadway? Thank you very much in advance. Pierre.

Not always the cheapest way is the best one but here are some of the options:
Fastest way:
Yellow cab (from JFK to any point to Manhattan) costs flat rate of $45 + bridge toll($5.50)
Cheapest Way:
Take Airtrain from any terminal on track 1 to Howard Beach Station( be careful - on that track there are two alternating trains going to different routes; check the sign above the doors as the train arrives; the green colored sign is Howard Beach one). Then take subway line A to 42st stop and transfer to subway line 2 or 3 going uptown. Get off at 96th street stop. The hotel is located a block away going south on Broadway.Cost of the ride - $7.25/person.
See http://www.mta.info/nyct/maps/submap.htm
for reference
Another way:
There is shuttle(look for it at Ground transportation counter or Welcome Center) that goes to any hotel in Manhattan for $18.50 per person.
