Taxi for all of you would be $45+tolls+tip. Airtrain/subway is $7.25 each.

hi, it will be my first time in New York and on a specific budget, I really need to know the best (read most economical) way to get from JFK airport to Union City 19th St. by public transportation. Thank you so much in anticipation.

Take Airtrain from terminal to Jamaica Station, then E subway to 34th St./Penn Station. Walk to 33rd St. & 6th Ave. to PATH train. Take the PATH train to Hoboken. Transfer to the Hudson-Bergen Light Rail to Lincoln Harbor and local ground transportation from there to your location.

Thanks for the detailed directions, could you give me the lowdown on the costs of the Airtrain to Jamaica Station, and the PATH train from 33rd St. & 6th Ave. to Hoboken, and the transfer to Hudson-Bergen Light Rail to Lincoln Harbor. And perhaps, by local transportation, do you mean buses, and what's the fare? Thank you so much.

Airtrain is $5, subway is $2.25, PATH is $1.75, Light Rail is $2.10. There's also the #22 bus from the Hoboken PATH station that stops in Union City at New York Ave. and 23rd St., fare is $1.50/$2.25 depending if you cross a fare zone. This may replace the Light Rail leg if that bus stop is close to where you need to go.

I,d like to know the best way to go from JFK to Tribeca. Thank you.

Take Airtrain from terminal to Howard Beach Station, transfer to the Manhattan-bound A subway to Chambers St.

do i have to pass the airport to get to long term parking?

driving from n.j.do i need to pass the airport to get to long term parking, and how long is the trip to the terminal?

From NJ you will be approaching JFK via Belt PkWy. Long Term Parking lot is actually before the airport, you will see the sign for the exit(I think is 17) for the Long Term Parking lot.
From Long Term Parking lot the trip to terminals with Airtrain is from 10-20 mins.

how can we get to Driggs Avenue / South 5th in Williamsburg Brooklyn NY 11211 on a Monday at 2.30 or 3 pm?

Taxi is on the meter, probably around $40-50. You can also take public transportation; Airtrain from terminal to Jamaica Station, J subway to Marcy Ave. Walk up Broadway towards the Williamsburg Bridge to Driggs Ave., turn right, walk under the bridge to S. 5th St.

I am coming from Atlantic City on Oct 5 to catch a morning flight for an 11 day trip. Should I drive and park or is there a cheaper way to get to and from airport?

Check locally in AC for shuttle service to JFK, such as Super Shuttle. Driving will cost you gas, tolls and $18 per day in long term parking; about $250 in all. You could probably do cheaper by round-trip shuttle. You can also take the train from AC to Philly, Amtrak (faster and few stops) or NJ Transit (slower and lots of stops) to NY Penn Station, then LIRR to Jamaica and Airtrain to terminals.

Hi, I need to get to JFK from Greenwich, CT by public transport and would prefer not to go all the way into NYC. What do you recommend?
