Arriving on Emirates to JFK at 2:30pm connecting on AA at 4pm
I only have 1hr and 30 minutes to make it to the connecting flight on Amercan Airlines. I am a new arrival on immigrant visa. Will i make the connection? How much time will it take for cases like mine to clear immigration/customs at JFK on Monday at 3pm.

New immigrants arriving for the first time in US may get stuck in immigration for at least 3-4 hours. Reschedule your AA flight if it is possible.

My husband an I have an eight hour layover at JFK. Is there anything at the airport or neay by to occupy our time?

Can a JFK employee please clarify :
1. How much time would the Airtrain take to travel from Terminal 4 to Terminal 3? Will it travel from Terminal 4 first to Terminal 3, or will it go the other way around - from Terminals 4 to 5 .... 8, then 1, 2 & 3?
2. At what time intervals does the airtrain arrive at Terminal 4?

Airtrain on track 2 is a
Airtrain on track 2 is a continuous terminal-only loop and runs clockwise so when you get on at T4 the next stop is T3, takes no more than two minutes. Track 1 trains run counter-clockwise and terminate at either Howard Beach Station or Jamaica Station after T8. Trains come every 5-10 minutes.

1. On track 2(only)- it takes less than a minute;It will travel from T4 towards T3 and next stop would be T3.
2. Every 4-5 minutes.

hello. my mom is arriving to JFK at 2:25 PM from Moscow and then she has next flight to Chicago at 4:30 PM. she has a visa. is she goimg to have enough time to go through the customs and get her luggage to make it to the next flight? and can she somehow jump the line at customs control if she doesn't have enough time?

She has enough time to make the transfer. There is no way to "jump" the line just because you are late for your connection.

incoming flights from Turkey
My daughter is flying in from Instanbul around 5pm and leaving for Atlanta at 7pm. The gate she is arriving in is B22 and the gate she is leaving for Atlanta is Gate 8. First, will she need to take the "AirTran" to get from her arrival B22 in Terminal 4 to her departure in Terminal 3? and second, will she have enough time for her departure with going through Customs? She did not check any bags and has them with her.

She has to clear custom anmd immigration after she lands at T4. The she will take Airtrain on the third floor to Terminal 3 for her next flight to Atlanta. The time frame is enough to make the connection.
