Take Airtrain from any terminal on track 1 to Jamaica Station( be careful - on that track there are two alternating trains going to different routes; check the sign above the doors as the train arrives; the red colored sign is Jamaica one). Then take subway line E to Lexington Ave stop and transfer to line 6 going downtown. Get off next stop. Cost- $7.25/passenger.

Forgot to answer part two of your question! From Newark or Newark Airport take NJ transit train to Penn Station, then take the NYAS bus (at 33rd St. & 7th Ave. opposite Hotel Pennsylvania) to LaGuardia.

Try the State Shuttle (check at the Ground Transportation counter), I think they have shuttle service to Newark Airport. You can also reach Newark or Newark Airport by train; take Airtrain from your terminal to Jamaica Station, take E subway or LIRR (faster) to Penn Station and NJ Transit to Newark or Newark Airport station. There's an Airtrain from Newark Airport station to the terminals where you can catch a cab or hotel shuttle.
some questions about the time.
Hi, I will arrive JFK airport at 15:05 on June 23.
Then, I will stay at the airport to wait for the other friends. We are going to Portland,ME and we plan to take the Greyhound which will departure at 00:15 on June 24. However, they will arrive here at 22:05.
After they passing the Customs, we still have to take
some transportation, such as Taxi, Shuttle or Express
Bus (I am not sure which will be better, could you give me some suggestions?) to get to New York The Port Authority. We want to book our tickets first, but we don't know how long it will take. Do you think it's possible to successfully catch that Greyhound? And where can we take the transportation to go to The Port Authority? Thanks very much. :D

Wow, your time situation is extremely tight. Provided your friend's flight arrives on time it will still take 30-45 minutes to clear customs. Take a taxi (fastest) to Port Authority which will take at least 45 minutes to an hour depending on traffic at that time of the evening. If the timing works out perfectly you should just make your bus to Portland, however any delays and you're out of luck. You may want to consider a later bus departure to play if safe.

There are taxis at every terminal, follow the signs to ground transportation. Airtrain and subways run 24/7. If you're staying overnight I'd do so at the airport and make your way to Port Authority in the morning by NYAS bus or subway. Would not suggest an overnighter at Port Authority!
Time for security check and immigration
I will be arriving in JFK at 7:45 AM from hyderabad at terminal 3 and I have to catch a plane to raleigh-durham in terminal 8 at 11:20 AM. Is this time sufficient for customs, security checks and immigration ? I will be arriving in august and your reply can help me plan my trip better. Thank you.

I'd like to know how is the bets way to go from the airport to my hotel at 307 west 79th Imperator Court Hotel in Manhathan.
Can I share a shuttle? Because I'm arriving with my wife and maybe I'll pay the same by taxi.
